Using other planets for LST?

Plants not planets!*

Good afternoon!
Today I went out to water my plants and adjusted my LST, but I didn't bring my string or twist ties so I decided to remove all the leaves from another planet that was growing near mine and use the stem in place of string (see pics). I will go back out before the end of this week to do it correctly but my question is, will anything bad come from doing this until I can adjust it? Thanks

I hear Jupiter and Neptune are the best for LSTing, by far. Have yet to confirm.
