Using Monterey Garden with Spinosad day 40 flower?

I have been battling thrips this entire grow. I thought they were gone but I started seeing the silver shine on my flowers and I sprayed them with Monterey Garden with Spinosad.

I figured this would be better than waiting for another out break later in flower.

The Cheese from Canuk is an 8 week strain.
The Critical Widow from Canuk is a 7-9 week strain.
The California Orange from Dutch Passion says 8-10 weeks but looks more like a 11 or 12 week plant.

Has anyone applied it this late into flowering?

The Al Bundy guy here swears by it. He prefers Capt Jack's spinosad. The thing about thrips is they use the stems like a high way.
Thrips also like yellow. Yellow stickies and even a piece of metal or plastic spray painted bring yellow with stick um or Vaseline. Also you can get a bring yellow plastc bowl or something and add water and a little soap.

Make your own yellow sticky traps.

This third video is pretty easy using yellow construction paper. Damn that is easy. You can get the construction paper, hole puncher, some twine and cheap Vaseline at the dollar store. May need "tanglefoot" or syrup over Vaseline.

Ladybugs will go after thrips but not spider mites. Another fellow on here Spicoli guy (I remember people by avatar) used Green Lace Wings. He is a good guy and did CaliCleaner and a few other sprays but really liked Green Lace Wing larvae.

You can buy the eggs cheaper and it takes 4 days or spend more for larvae which go ape shit on anything. They are bad ass bugs. I tried ladybugs but only good for Thrips. I tried predator mites but they are finicky. The Spicoli guy loved the Lace Wings.

Get on the phone and call local nurseries and do a search on Google for local places or amazon.

I don't see a problem with spinosad late in flower, up until the last week maybe. Be sure to use it in a soil drench as well. 1 tbs per gallon I think. Get some of the sticky traps as well. Be sure to coat the plant top to bottom, and repeat every few days until they are no more. Good luck.

Just read your post about having sprayed 7 times already. If this is the case try a different brand of spinosad. You could also use an oil as they are soft bodied insects, Organocide 3 in 1 garden spray worked for my plants.

Some types of thrips are resistant to spinosad, so keep that in mind.

i use the monterey spray by itself, then 4 days later i'll use capt. jack's, and repeat that if necessary, never had to do it more than twice so far.
capt. jack's SAY'S you can use it up to the day before harvest, but i've always stopped 2 weeks before. i don't think it will hurt you, but why take chances ?

do you have a garden outside? or a lot of ornamental plants? i bet theres a big population of thrips somewhere close to your house, if you go look around and spray any you find close to your house, i bet it'll cut down on the ones getting in

I am pretty sure they came from my FFOF. They have been under control since 12/12 40 days ago?
I noticed the silver shine on a few plants only on a few leaves. so I just sprayed. I do not have any plants, I do live in a very large apartment building so I guess it is possible. I thought that thrips lay eggs in the stems as well as the soil?
I was wondering about putting sand on the tops of my soil.
Also I just put a Phresh 4" x 12" filter on my intake(it will double as a scrubber for a drying box after harvest)
