Using Fumers?? Yes or no??

I am at 27 days flower, and was planning on using a fumer to lay waste to the spider mite population I have... they aren't causing too much bother at the moment, but don't want an explosion just before harvest.

From then on I will use the much recomposed Mighty Wash to keep them at bay... my concern is, with only 4 weeks or so till harvest, am I crazy thinking of using fumer on my plants???

I had spider mite, after a lot of research on the net I discovered Harkers Harka Mectin. I bought a 5ml bottle and a sprayer with a wand to get in all the nooks and crannies, put 1ml of Harkers in 1 litre of water and smothered the plants, then sealed my tent and changed the fan timer so it would stay off during lights out, let off a fogger/fumer and let it over night. 3 days later I repeated the process and when the crop finished I made a bleach dilute solution and cleaned everything.

Haven't seen a single mite for nearly 2 months. :)

Personally I didn't notice any difference to the bud despite spraying it with Harkers, to be honest at 1ml per litre I don't see how it could cause any nasty taste or odour.

Apparently that Harkers stuff kills the existing mites on contact and then leaves a layer on the leaves, so when new ones hatch and bite the leaves it kills them as well, I thouroughly recommend it.

If you dont have a bad infestation yet then is it possible to lower your humidity? If you have a de-humidifier put it in the room and set it to like 40%. That should really slow them down without much of any effect to the plant.

P.S - I just recently had to use mighty wash on some plants in veg. Shit is amazing is all I have to say.

Its pretty low anyway (confession... i don't have a humidity meter yet :( ) and although they have been on my plants for weeks, there is still little sign of them.

I'll just get some mighty wash, cos everyone raves about it, just thinking of fuming to help get the nooks and crannies
