Hi guys i am in a dilemma, i can't decide what contactor timer to go for to switch 4x600 lights, i have a choice between a low budget cheap contactor timer and a slightly dearer one with a grasslin timer,

what would you guys choose between these also does it really make a difference in using the named brand? my idea is to go with grasslin with a little extra cost and piece of mind but i really would prefer experienced answers

i'm thinking the same as the inductive load is going to be higher at start up, also i will be running fans etc.

Problem i have is there is only one two plug socket in one room and other room has no sockets, and i was thinking of running 2 flower rooms on 12/12 one ON other OFF and vice versa

so i thought i may get 2 4 gang contactor/relay timers one to run 4x600 at 12 hrs, then next 12 hrs the other contactor/relay timer to switch other room for 12 hrs

also make sure you have nothing else on the circuit for the growroom the room with no power i would run in a new circuit from the board OR use the one room as 2 flower rooms lights on 24hr a day take out one set of plants after 12hrs, put them in the spare room in the dark and put in 2nd set, it would be a major pain in the arse though

so could i run 2 contactors 12 on 12 off one 2 plug wall socket so i have 4 outlets for each 12 hr light period, also as i will only have 4 outlets on 13 amps at a time does that mean i can only run 2x600 and 2 fans which comes to 4 sockets?

so my only solution is to get another 2 plug wall socket n other room to be on safe side?

also do the fans have to be on 24/7 as i will have an oscillating fan and intake and outake fans

well 4x600 will pull around 10amps and then all your fans around another amp u want at least 20a contactor/relay and circuit breaker.
I run 2x600, 1x1000 and 4 fans on a 4gang 20amp grasslin relay/timer and that occasionaly trips the breaker which is 32 amp

yes better to be safe than sorry, i leave my osc fan on 24/7 my intake/outake fans come on/off with the lights but it would be better to have outake come on once or twice during the dark no need to have them all on in th dark period

sorry i should say 2 fans and 3 light on the contactor and 2 osc fans ons another socket i have the intake and outtake wired together to 1 plug same with osc fans before i wired them together i used to plug in a double adaptor for the fans, i would'nt use an adapter for HID lights
