using a 400watt hps highbay light

needing some help needing to know if its best to hang light as it was ment to be with or without reflector? or is it better to find away to hang horizontaly? as it was not ment to hang???? i only have one female in a 4x4 space and was just wondering? any info would help thank you

With all hps and hid lamps most lumens come from the side of the lamp not the end with a high bay fitting it is designed for industrial use such as fitting between rows of racking or shelving and hangs that way for a tighter beam of light however it will still work the choice is yours

I tried both vertical and horizontal and vertical worked twice as good
