using 2 tents question

I want to add a 4x4 veg tent to my grow room after recently finishing my first grow, so in a couple of months I can get some plants ready to flower when my new grow finishes.

Do I need a fan/filter combo on both intake and outtake for the veg tent?

Have a flower tent with a fan/filter combo for in and out ventilation, plus a portable ac vented out of the room. Harvested 3/4 lb dry from 3 plants.

Since I have the ac venting out, could I get rid of either fan/filter combo from flower tent and maybe use one on the veg tent if needed?

I know I don't need the ac in veg tent because temp without fans just the veg lights (switchable led) is 77 degrees, 45-55 RH steady, seems fine for a full veg cycle.

From my last grow it seems I don't need to be that concerned about smell during the veg cycle, but would I need ventilation (out or in) in veg tent for a reason other than smell? is it a matter of having clean air coming in and going out?

Just use a carbon filter inside the tent connected to insulated ducting, out of the tent through a hole, to a 6" fan on a speed controller, exhausting the tent. A 4x4 (hell even a 4x8 )will suck in plenty of fresh air through the velcro'ed mesh holes that come on most tents. Just get to a negative pressure where your walls suck in once you've zipped her up, open a flap, and that's your intake. You still need to have that negative pressure once you open a flap though. That pressure is what's pulling air in through the flap.

Thanks, Ok, so I can take the fan/filter sitting outside my flower tent (in the pic) currently used as intake for flower tent...

and move it to inside the veg tent for it's outtake... then have passive intake on both tents?

What was the point of a carbon filter sucking not stinky outside air, I to your stinky tent?

But yes. Hang it inside, use ducting to the outside to the fan and if you wanna duct that air any where, do so. But the other side of your fan can be bare if you want.

What size fan is it? Because if it's powerful enough you could set the tents up side by side and run your exhaust for both tents off the same fan by running some ducting from flower tent to veg tent

So the carbon filter is just to remove smell then... I thought it was to clean/purify the air going into the space, and thought it was important to have a fan/filter setup for intake. Sounds like that's not the case, opening one of the flaps is much easier. Well I already have the second fan/filter so just to get the tent, lights, and a few odds n ends then time it so the veg plants are ready to flip right after harvest

Yes your carbon scrubber is just for smell if you want your intake air filtered I like to use 6inch K&N air filters made for trucks

4×4×7 is 112 cubic feet and 5×5×7 is 175 cubic ft for a grand total 287 cubic feet and your fan is rated 315 cfm and you loose some with bends and carbon filter but yes I would hook it up that way with out thinking twice
