never tried it but i'm going away soon so was looking at ways to water. this looks pretty interesting you can adjust how much it waters by choosing how many wicks, and how long it lasts by adjusting the reservoir. i'm going to give it a go soon, just thought i'd share

edit: anyone who has tried could you give some info on how many wicks used and pot size

no one tried it? i was thinking i could maybe set up one massive reservoir that all of my plants could wick from, which i could maybe fill up once a week.

anyone got any other methods of watering while away??

I considered this. You can get those aquaglobes at walgreens, but theyre 10 bucks. You can make your own with 2 liter bottles and cut a few holes in cap. I tried using a milk gallon with a small hole but the hole closed up somehow and didnt water. Wick system seems tight. One question I have about is is wether the reservoir has to be below the soil line, meaning do the plants have to be elevated above the resevoir? I just switched to hydro since it was such a pain in the ass to water. I got 2 more weeks on soil then done.

yeah the pots need to be placed above the water line and the wick will bring the water up into the soil. never heard of aquaglobes, what are they? i might think about doing hydro as well, probably will cost more than i am willing to spend at the moment though.

in the link they just put the plant pots on top of upside down pots inside a bigger bucket and filled up to just below the plant pots i think
