URGENT: Non-Stop Growth Problem

Hey guys,
I have four Double Diesel Ryder (autos) growing in a tent. 1 of them is going into its 7th week while the others are going into their 6th week. If you look at the pictures, the two plants on the right look like DDRs, about 14-16 inches in height and bushy. But the other two havent stopped growing and are hitting the top of the tent, I had to move the main stalk so that it wouldnt touch the light. Any clues? They are in a 12/12 light cycle which should be optimal for stopping growth and promulgating the bloom.

Thanks

right you have to tie them down. other wise the lower buds will be crappy.
give them a good watering and then get those plants at a 90 degree angle. i had the same problem with a satiba dominant strain that i didnt plan for.
lie them down and they will right themselves in time, ll the buds will just change direction and it should be fine,

(just noticed you have a small tent.)
if i were you i would tie some string or wire from the poles of the tent, running around the walls of the tent. (at about the height of the larger bud you have in there.)
make sure its been watered well and use zip ties or something to fix the plant around the tent.
you may need to supercrop the branches, squeese and bend, they WILL take the stress and heal into elbows. i think it even made my buds bigger doing that.
oh and get ready for a long flowering time lol.

ok so i should grab the top of the plant, pull it a bit, and tie to a post of the tent? and i should supercrop the all the branches?
what else should i do?

Thank you so much for the posts.

I've supercropped up until week 3 without a long delay in flowering. I had no choice, it was that or lose buds to light. It worked fine. Do what you have to do, if they will flex, bend em. If you do SC something that long, make sure you can temporarily support stems so they don't pull at wound. Once it begins to heal, the plant will right itself, hopefully slowly enough to finish the buds. If not, crop again. It's either that or chop the top and you don't want to do that.

yeah i Super cropped every 2 weeks to keep my sativa down. wasnt ready when i came to harvest but still did the job.
yeah make sure you give her a good watering and bend her over. tie her to the tent bars. dont be shy with her, once shes had a good watering she will flex ok, it is a weed after all. and if you do accidentally suppercrop or even decide to do it. it wont matter. but like serapis said make sure its secure, otherwise it will keep tugging at the wound and wont heal. good luck. let us know how it went.

Guys thanks for the support and the useful info. I have decided to let nature be nature. I won't do anything unless I see that the plant is being affected. If it keeps growing, leaves look good, flowers keep blooming, then I will let it be. As stated, it will be a long flowering time but that is actually perfect because it is almost twice as tall and has twice as many branches as the short bushy ones next to it. My question is, the fact that it doesn't have lots of big leaves means it won't have nice buds or is that an incorrect assumption? I will keep you guys posted. Any additional advice is more than welcome.

could be great, it will be lots and lots of popcorn buds though. but flowered for the right time they should smoke well. i like sativas. almost speedy.
but cant say for sure, could be a pheno that isnt as potent, have to wait and see.

I grew diesel ryder and it did the same thing one grew tall and lanky while the rest grew good. All I can say is you are going to get about the same amount of dry whight if not less off the big ones. They stretch too much and I think its because of the rudralis traits (autoflowering characteristics) are not as strong in these lanky phenos, so instead of going into full flower the plant goes into a half flowering stage ( if that makes sense) and what you get is stretching between nodes and very skinny buds, sometimes indavidual seed pods alternating on the left and right of the branches. The only good thing that comes from this is, trichome production on the lanky phenos is a little stronger, and that makes the smoke more potent. You can tie it down but it will grow all the way until harvest, which will be around the same time as the other autoflowers.

Autos aren't supposed to get 12/12 light. 20/4 or 18/6 is the recommended light cycle from seed to harvest with Autos. Are the tall ones flowering?

Guys heres an update. I tied the tall ones yesterday and they are now looking good. The shorter ones are getting packed with crystals and delicious fruity smell. However, I have recently realized that the white hairs are turning yellow in some. What does this mean? I am posting pictures with and without the sodium light so you guys can tell me what is going on. I would also like to know how long more or less till harvest because on Easter weekend I am going away for 4 days so the plants will be left untended. I will water them well, set the light cycle clock and leave. Any ideas?

Not sure if has been mentioned but auto's should not be in 12/12 or they will stretch like crazy and take forever to finish...

EDIT: Nevermind, just read MsBotwins post, I only read the first page

Good luck :leaf:

Actually, it's generally easier to do your bending before you water the plants so their turgor is at its lowest.
Also, how is turgor being highlighted as being misspelled on a growing forum?

Thanks for the tip baja and botwins. I have changed the light cycle to a full 24/0. Its my first grow and I read so much about the auto flowers that I think in the end I ended up confused. People used and talked about every single light cycle you can imagine. So I figured, as soon as it starts flowering I will switch from 24/0 to 12/12/. But no worries I have changed it back and I will leave it like that till the end. My question is when will it be ready? Because If you look at my latest pictures, the bud hairs are turning from white to yellow. Any clues?

I had that with one of my Lowryder 2s. No change to the process. I think it's unstable genetics. Just happened to have a seed that had more of the Santa Maria traits coming through and grew more like a sativa than a Ruderalis

Guys next week is 4/20. And there is nothing I would like more than to celebrate it by smoking some of my first plant. I was thinking of taking a small bud from the plant that looks the most ready, and dry it from today until next Wednesday. Do you guys think this is possible and if so what should I do? Please be honest. If its not possible I would rather let it grow and wait. But if it is, it would make my 4/20 the best ever.

I am attaching pics of the buds I think would be good candidates.
