so today i had to make a decision and transplanted an auto as she was in stupidly small pot and was getting root bound ( i know i should have transplanted to final pot from jiffy pellet) this mistake will not happen again

now thats all good i know this will stress her abit but like a stupid idiot i decided to quickly lst her to the new pot but was in a rush after lights out i noticed i had actually severed the main stem really bad like hanging bad so obviously very quickly got electrical tape and binded it back together had no honey so literally just taped it back together and propped up the break she looks fine like an hour later

my questions are these will it heal ?

if it dosen't heal will the weight of the main cola snap it ?

and if it will heal and dosent snap how badly will this fuck with my yield and quality ?

any feedback really welcome no pics as was in abit of a rush to save her, haha

I had it happen last week.. There weeds brother it will recover but might lessen your yield.. But not on mine actually it's buds are now bigger than her two sisters cloned same time. (the right most plant stem broke)

They should heal, but I believe autos are more susceptible to stress, so I dunno. If it does heal, that spot where the break was will be SUPER hard. If it does snap under the weight of the bud, it won't be because of that healed spot.

If it doesn't heal, your probably f'd. Main stalks are important.

Hard to say. See first answer.

A little bit if extra info for you: if you have a plant with thin stalks and are worried about stability, you can, very gently, 'crack' the stems between your fingers. It Should crack vertical not horizontal. When it heals, the stem will be rock hard. Of course, be mindful of when you choose to do this as it may need a certain amount of time to recover.

cool

well i have her proped up and tried to get the break to close up more so it would bind better but in the end decided to leave it as i really don't wanna make shiit worse it shows no sign "as yet" of wilt so i will give it time and see what happens its a first grow and tbh i have learnt so much more from trying than reading so its not been worthless next time these fuck ups will be changed

hopefully she will pull through, i am just pissed because it was an easily avoidable mistake, all i had to do was take more care but was rushing haha oh well fuck it

thanks for the replies btw people much appreciated..

@confussed.com it happens dropped a fan on a little one last night lol. Well hit a feed line that cause the fan to un-clip and drop about a foot onto a little one that's already in bad shape. I'm clumsy

But in reality all you did was graft the plant to itself has been done for years just usually done with two different plants. Most amazing example i can think of is this http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/03/living/tree-40-fruit-sam-van-aken-feat/ 40 types of fruit from one tree! Knew a guy in high school that grafted cannabis to a tomato plant so his mom wouldn't notice he was growing. She thought it was a mutant tomato plant. It flowered but was unsmokable guessing some chemical the tomato plant produced got in the buds but ya horrible stuff...

haha i am clumsy AF too mate

and i swear i never knew you could graft 2 plants together that is insane and your friend was smart to try that tomato plant thing even if it didn't succeed it was a fuckin good idea

i woke up this morning and discovered she is still alive and well the severed stem that i attempted to stick back together is actually healing, "crazy shit" above the break hasn't wilted and has actually moved toward the light so i think she is gonna make it.

mother nature is truely remarkable that stem was over half way through it was hanging on by a thread and she some how pulled through..

ok

so here is a picture of the break 24 hours or so after i noticed and propped her up and bound it "poorly and in a panic" lol with electrical tape.

as you can see the electrical tape is barley on but she is still propped up and it looks like the tissue is connecting back together.

should i leave it? because tbh i might make it worse and so far she looks fine or should i try to connect the stems more?

god knows how she is even alive hahaha

will need to remove the electrical tape at some point as it cant expand and will restrict growth. Some medical gauze would probably be better if you have a first aid kit that way you can see if it's healed and remove after it's no longer necessary. Alternately you could get some grafting tape from a nursery but seem excessive unless you plan on making it a habit lol

i'm thinking about leaving her completely or do you think that the wound is too large to heal ? i will definitely remove the tape in a few more days regardless .

here is a pic of her she seems to be fine but i need to really make a decision about the split what do you think ?

Looking good minus the nute burn. Have never grafted cannabis so not sure if it would be ok without the tape or not. Think as long as it's supporting itself and you don't have an opse moment should be alright. please keep us posted interested in how it goes!

Just takes patience. Less is more. Keep it stupid simple.

Over think it and screw up. I still do it myself from time to time.

so true

1st grow and really haven't been messing with her the things i learn't are bio bizz all mix is too hot so will need to either use different for young plants or mix light mix in or perlite to dilute the medium

lst works well but if you rush it and add too much strain on the stem and it will split also elasticated string dosen't work well it pulls too much on the stem i found pipe cleaners worked best but like a fool tried use something else in a rush lol

and exactly what you said about the final pot i germinated in paper towels method and then sprouted in a jiffy pellet that worked well but i transplanted from jiffy to a 6" pot which i know now is stupid lol not even a gallon

now she is in a gallon plus and when we pull a gram off her and thats even looking unlikely now lol it will be incentive to be better

Help!!! My plant is about a month or so old it has yellow tips and it almost looks like shredded leaves
i cannot give you advice i think it looks like nute burn and maybe the start of N toxicity, but as i said i'm new to growing so here is a reference i used when my plant start to get yellow tips and slight leaf curling "which was nute burn BTW" looked similar to yours, but like i said i am in no position to offer advice

here is the link just read through it look at the pics and you will be able to decide whats going wrong
