First off, apologies for this thread, but im in a hurry here!

Easy all!
Very quick one, and need a response pretty quick as im running out of time here.
Today is my only day off work and i need to buy some things here in the UK, LDN.

I need to build my grow cabinet, which ive made already, just need fixtures and fittings.

Current grow and pictures of the space i have in Sig at bottom!

My local hydro store is closed til the 2nd, so i only really have Wickes, Robert dyas and a few local shops to get my stuff. I intend to use this cabinet to grow 2-3 plants, idealy autoflower or lowryders to begin with.
I was thinking of having 6-8 bulbs in there, 2 intake fans at the bottom and 2 exhausts at the top, hooked up to a home made carbon filter via ducting or eventually drill a hole to the outside.

I was hoping to buy 6-8 basic screw in light fixtures, screwing them into a plank of wood and then screwing that to the wooden cabinet top. Having all the lights running in series through one plug.
Is this too much? Im not an electrician so need some guidance.

Fans i am going to wire up to a DC plug, via a PC fan controller so i can regulate intake and exhaust.

Someone point me in the right direction as to what to buy, or link me to a thread which will help?

Much appreciated!!

Peace and Love!! :peace: :weed:

You seem to have it all planned. Just buy any brand CFL's, 42w seems to be the prefered, and i think it's 2700k blue and 6400k red spectrum bulbs you are after. Just plug each into a fitting, wire up the fitting to a plug and presto.

It would not be advisable to screw the wooden board into the top of the cabinet, the bulbs need to be easily movable and adjustable, they need to each be sat only a few inches from the plant, it's a good idea to suspend them by chain or whatnot from hooks in the ceiling of the cabinet instead. If the bulbs are too far away the plants are ust going to stretch lots and lots

Hello there dooda ! Runniing your lights through one plug is fine, you will have to fit a 13 amp fuse to deal with the ampage. Why are you paying £7.50 for a light bulb? Go to wickes and find the longer ones for about 50p each they work great for me.
