urgent!! hanna 9814N4n ppm meter + AN nutes help!

can someone please help, i just added

60ml micro
60ml grow
60ml bloom
30ml sensizyme

and my ppm started at 40 using distilled water, now the ppm reads 1890!!

i calibrated ppm meter with proper solution to 1500

is this correct? for the amount of nutes i used, the ppm should read this much?

i thought that this was what i needed to add to my 5gallon tank as per advanced nurtients calculator! it told me to add this much, is it wrong?? someone please help!

cut the formula down 3/4 and test it,

but how come the ppm is showing that high, is that correct reading? cause it seems like very high i read people saying to go from 600ppm and up ?

I do not know your meter.

This is my meter. The instructions said that I was to multiply the reading of the ppm by a factor of 10.

So when the Middle readout is 065 I'm at 650 ppm.
and it don't take much to get there, trust me.

In imo you are feeding way too much and your meter is fine.


again, I do not use that meter you do and do not know for sure,,,,,,

and some people feed em 3000 ppm,

I don't ever surpass 650 ppm.

Thats way to much nutrients for a 5 gallon res... What stage of growth are you in? You need to find how many ml per gallon you need in that stage of growth.

did you guys check out the image i attached? so i shouldnt go by AN schedule and instead do my own and work my way up to the ppm i want?

stage of growth is starting week 3 (autoflower) i feed them this amount which was yesterday

first feeding was half this amount and i left those nutes in there for 2 weeks total without adding any new nutes

I do not go by a manufacturers feeding schedule, they don't KNOW my girls, or my set ups, I don't buy advertising.
And I go by the policy of LESS IS BETTER.

Look, do yerself a favor and get this book and read it cover to cover. if you want to grow this Plant.

Hell I've grown bomb with water out of the TAP.

I use almost the same nute mix, AN can be strong so I never exceed 800-1000 ppm on their label. when done mixing reading is always 100-200 ppm higher. weeks 2-4 of flower are the only times I get that high ppm though!

The reason your ppm's are so high is maybe you have the original old AN nutes but utilizing the new formula chart. Another AN scheme: The new G-M-B formulas , by volume, have 50% more non-mineral additives than the original formula. IE Wet Betty, Fulvic and humic acids and such. That is why you will notice the dosage is doubled that of the original formula. Go to the old chart and you will notice the dosage is halved. See JPEG below of 5 gal res using the original formula. Check the labeling of your G-M-B and compare it's recommended dosage.




How paying the same amount of money for half the product as being a good thing is beyond me. If you are a inert hydro guy, this formula sucks. AN is saying good-bye to inert hydro growers who know better.
