Urban legends are just the inexperienced trying to find that magic "pill" that will make their grow better then everyone elses. Use common sense and educate yourself when it comes to growing marijuana and you won't fall for these. Notice I tried very hard to be nice and I didnt call anybody names.

I'd never heard of such things till reading these threads.

What about this one... supporting your stem while flowering helps grow fatter buds... oh, that one works.

What about growing with water as a medium... aquaponics.

Slightly stressing the plants a few days before harvest helps create more resin.

My point is that we need to experiment... obviously, as mogie said, common sense must play a large part in any decisions you make. Driving a nail through a stem doesn't make much sense to me, so I'd never do it.

purple weed is better:

wrong, i've personally witnessed peolpe adding grape KOOL-AID packets to their hydro tubs the last week of flower. it turns your plants purple. i tried it with food coloring. clipped a bud a let it sit in a cup with whatever color. they do this with roses and carnations. i made mine red, blue and orange. scared people. it's non-toxic, bio-degradable food coloring, made to eat. try it.

i just pulled out the marijuana growers guide by mel frank. org publish date 1978. it's full of them.

this is found under Growing Tips. they are acutually suggetsing to do this. this was read from the deluxe revised edition reprinted 1997.

watering with bong water is "supposed" to increase potency, lol this is another legend bong water is not magic. Ive also heard that trimming the leaves when budding forces the plant to produce more resin. how ever i wouldnt try it cuz its those leaves that feed the bud.

Watering with sugar water increases trichomatic production is one ive heard a lot. and the one that kills me that introducing a blacklight during the photoperiod increases yield hahahahha. they call it black light because is has no luminary output, so how is that even a suggestion? and mogie, shouldnt your title be mrs. ganja instead of mister?

check out the product from botanicare. it's called SWEET. it's full of sugars. i've been adding tubanado (granulated cane sugar) for 2 years with tremendous results. plants photosynthesize to produce sugar to feed new growth. makes sense to me. it must be unrefined sugar that dissolves instantly.
