i am thinking about upgrading my grow setup for my next grow. and not quite sure what to get. i really think i want to go with an led light instead of mh or hps. would like opinions on that and whats good. i will be having 4 plants and an area of 3ftx5ft and bout 8ft to ceiling. was also thinking of putting in a grow tent, but of course not sure what size tent would be good for 4 plants or what light. currently i am just using cfl's. about 100 watts per plant. i would also love to know what are some good organic nutes as i havent read much on whats good, so i use the general organics go box. i am wanting to spend rougly $1,000 usd for a whole new setup. would love peoples input on what products are good.

Hello 420bunni,
Welcome to the forum. You have quite a few ideas and questions. I will do my best to help and perhaps others will chime in as well.
First off to answer some of your questions we need to ask a few of our own. After each question you answer there will be a few links to help guide you.
The links are only options not endorsements.

Are you looking for a plug n' play set up or are you a do it yourself type?

Plug and play:

Do it yourself (this is a rabbit hole full of mystery and wonder):

Do it yourself option without all the book learn'n and minimal tools:

As to your other questions. I would recommend a grow tent or some kind of enclosed reflective space (closet with flat white paint). Photons are wild things, they just want to go everywhere and be free. Your mission is to corral the little buggers so they can provide your plants with a key ingredient for photosynthesis. You pay for watts, squeeze every photon you can from them.

A space for 4 plants can be any size depending on how big they are when you decide to flower them. Deciding on the grow space size you want or have and then how to illuminate it is best practice. 100cm x 100cm is common in Europe as it coupled up with a 600w HPS quite nicely.

Organics is another rabbit hole adventure. For myself a journey well worth taking. A gardener living in symbiosis with any species of plant is completing the circle of life.

"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches." — Matthew 13:31–32

With a little research you can create a great soil full of life and all it's beauty and save yourself a boat load of coin. If you prefer to get your life giving goodness from a plastic bottle I am afraid I have no experience with that. I am sure someone in the organics section can recommend a good line of nutrients.

I hope some of this has helped you. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Cheers,
Will
