I'll post pics as I get time.

The lush has 14 drivers
50-70v
610-630ma

I went with 4 luminus cxm 22 4k 80cri down the middle then two rows of 5 cxm 22 3000k 90 cri all are gen 3

I got one done. I have enough cobs to do one more.

I don't have the specs on the mars drivers. It has 7 drivers I already did one with vero 29's 3500 k.
The latest I'll be doing 2 luminus 4k and 5 3k

The hydrohut has 6 drivers
130v
500ma
I'm going to do 6 citizen clu4048 1212 90 cri gen 6 4k
then 12 of the 3k everything else the same

all cobs came from cob kits

The t5s I am wanting to do strips and will just be veg lights. I need suggestions and help on these!

When I was screwing down the cob holder my bit slipped and I busted one of the cobs on the mars. God damn it!

Do you guys have any suggestions for my 4' t5 frames? I'm not sure if I want to run with strips, or cobs. Will just be veg lights but will also be growing tomatoes and other stuff under them that will need higher intensity for fruiting.

Strips are a natural for T5 replacements. I'd suggest the Samsung F strips.

Can I run the f strips without heatsink? Or would the eb gen2 be better? 4' strips on the 4' t5 rebuild?
As long as they have airflow you can run them up to test current with no sinks. I would at least mount them to channel though to stiffen them

You could make a frame with 3 cross struts so that you can fix the stripes in front, back and in the middle. If you drive 2ft. F-strips with only 500mA(11-12w), the single diodes will run with <60mA(500mA : 9= 55,55mA), with 3000°k spectrum this will raise you to the range of +190lm/w or 2,8μmol/J.
System efficiency at least 2.6μmol/J!

Great thanks! In that case I'd probably just go with 4' strips and build a frame for those. Would be a little less wiring. I'd still apply thermal adhesive where the strips mount on the frame, correct?

I have a few more lush to rebuild. Is there anything I could do to improve the rebuilds of those?

No need for themal adhesive, simply screw them to the metal and you are good to go. Especially if you drive them low there is no need for a TIM.
Most people here use thermal tape to mount the strips to c-channels but that's more to avoid drilling a lot of holes.

Thanks guys. I think 4 footers will be the route to go. Would 4 of the samsung B8TZ91B20WW strips be enough? They'd just be for veg so I'm thinking 4000k should be fine. Or do you think I'd be better going with the eb gen 2's for a little more spread?

The 4footers need 46v, thats +48w @1050mA per Strip! No need for more or other strips. I would take an HLG-185H-48A for parallel wiring or an HLG-185H-C1050B for series wiring. The latter would be dimmable down to 6-10%(with external 100k poti), the -48A version is dimmable down to 50% via internal poti.
Both ways works and 200/220w should be more than enough for vegging!
BTW,
with EBgen2 you would need twice as much strips and a 700mA driver to get the same/slightly better effiency.
