I agree about teenagers, but there are a lot of really stupid old people out there.

Older does not always mean wiser.
Kinda like when the majority of a population are fools, popularity is not a indicator of quality?

Hehehe just fuckin with ya bro

So you gonna transplant that beast or what? Its lookin good but really tho youve only got like days left to transplant it. Id love to see you slam that bitch into a container 3x asap so she produces for ya

Yeah, it needs a bigger pot for sure.
I gave the new batch of soil a sniff test this morning and it's almost ready.
Might go ahead and repot a few plants today...

Ive got around 75 gallons of soil thats been mellowing nearly a year now after it was amended with a secret, an im just about to go get the kiddie pools an dump em in there an add the liquid fish an start turning it for another year.

All just for fun tho. I dont grow anything. I just spend 2 years making magic dirt for the sake of it

At least this thread was a little funny.

And not to troll or start shit, but the op’s plants don’t look like they’re going to yield much. Hopefully it will be quality smoke.

Good luck and happy growing
:peace:

Why does it take two years?
How do you know when it's ready?

Seems a bit excessive...

I had the same argument with hermies, trifoliate, ploidy, genetics and i wasnt wrong there either to many other members annoyance, i also have killed of a few so called pros because they guessed the wrong sex on plants and i wasnt wrong there again.

No one believes leds anymore, just a fact which has yet to hit led growers but trust me that everyone else is starting to laugh at them :-)
So ppfd is fake? Please explain and provide a better way I should be measuring light output. And a watt is a watt as far as heat is that wrong in your opinion also? I feel like you argue with yourself alot and make up some weird shit that you claim is "everyone else's" opinion. You also claim no led can match hps with less watts that's just rediculous you need to do some more research if that's really your opinion.

It prolly wouldnt NEED to take so long, if i added everything at the same time. But im also not sure that it would work properly if i added it all at once. I def think some bad microbs would get a foothold actually.
It takes about a year for stage one to finish, and about a year for stage two to finish.
Ive noticed that the people who have 10-15 year compost/soil mounds always have the best gardens. In relation, 2 years is nothing.

Oh an i know stage one is done when it doesnt stink, an i know stage two is done when i can put a test clone in a small container of it an it doesnt get nitrogen overdose an stunted with dark green leaves.

I mean, when i dont do that. Cuz i dont grow anything. Ya...

It usually only takes about 3 weeks for mine to stop smellling like garbage and start smelling like soil.
The change is very noticeable.

Takes mine a minimum of 4 months to stop stinking, but i add a LOT of bio matter and goodies that need to break down a lot. Then after that it still likes to settle.
Ive had shrooms pop outta the dirt tho an the drainage holes cover over with mycelium. Plants freakin love it.

Maybe i could do it quicker, but i enjoy building my soil like some people enjoy build diy led panels.

An ill still buy a bag of my fav premium soil every now an then. (Not fox farms roots, or other mainstream bag, too hipster for that)

PPFD is not fake but it does not tell the whole story of light and thus using it as the be all and end all of growing is not right as there are other considerations. Where led makers have been going wrong for 7 years if you havent noticed here.

PPFD - 50 units of blue + 50 units of red is beaten by 40 units of blue 40 units of red and 20 units of green.

So PPFD is not as accurate as you think and does not describe photosynthesis and photoreceptors ergo the people who made the original scale made this disclaimer.

Led growers miss these points and this would be the reason why hps performs better than just its PPFD alone.

Rather than argue you guys can prove or disprove me, either way we get a better debate than just the usual redundant led bs.

As to what leds can outgrow and not outgrow it is not just me that thinks they dont outyeild hps, near on half the growers here believe that too so pointless to just argue with me over that particular point.

So yer your all reasonably lame or you would have worked this out not just asked me questions back so i have to prove what is easily cited all over the tinternet :-)

You didn't answer anything I see no reason to not use ppfd based on what you said. And no better alternative? Ppfd is still the best way to measure imo the fact that you couldn't come up with an alternative proves that. And your example yes a full spectrum beats some blue an red shit doesn't that favor hps? I'm not sure what that example has to do with anything.

Edit: an as far as outgrowing yes led wins you can cover more space with led hps might take the yield per square foot win but that's not what we are talking about. Have you ever used or seen any led chips from the last few years?

Most growers primarily care about yield per sq ft. Its only a very small subset of people that want to try to stretch the watt out as far as possible to try to make (lets say) 600 watts barely light a 8x8, and scrape out a lb an a half or 2 , if they are doing really well, of tiny buds and im really giving them the benifit of generosity here for the yield. Most growers are going to look at a given space and ask, how can i get the most possible out of here? Hang 4 lights, an pull down about 5 lbs of stuff thatll make panties drop.

If your not experiencing that last one, then your doing it wrong.

Personally i could give 2 shits about another 150 a month on my power bill if it means i get so much more of so much better. Then people say, but bla bla bla muh amps cant handle it! Like they cant slap another breaker in the box an run another set of wires. Or use the dryer plug, etc.

I really want led to be worth a damn but it just keeps failing to impress me. I almost just bought some QB's, made a thread asking for the people with the best led buds to please post em up. Pretty much was all small buds that really didnt impress me.

The peeps who invented ppfd would not agree with you and rather you use it as it was intended and not to prove that led is better than hps.

Next i go on to say where ppfd really fails with the hps spectrum but you obviously have not looked at ppfd in such detail as me or you would relise that hps does in fact have a superior spectrum to leds by virtue of its combined colours. This would be the reason that although lower ppfd ratings they actually grow bigger buds than their specs.

Now to your last point led does not cover more space with light as a single point source, light overlaps and lenses have been your downfall here and single point light sources dont really have these problems as per science again.

Now have i got experience of leds, well only seven years here, only a regular at the company that makes em down the road till it relocated, only visited many friends led grows and so on.... So at what point do you stop arguing back and use some objectiveness to research what im saying....?

Your constant bickering just dumbs down that i actually have some points here but makes it apparent your too stubborn to accept and do the relevant reading to bring your self up to a scientific level at which you may discuss ppfd without sounding like a led manufacturers copy and paste spec sheet!
