Upcoming SCROG- How to grow from seed?

Hey everyone. My current grow is very close to harvest and I am already planning ahead to my next grow. I have decided to make it a scrog grow. I already built the screen and everything. The only real issues I have is that all I have atm is bagseed. I am very broke, so I cannot afford feminized seeds. My concern is that I might grow the plants, but then end up with males and having holes in the canopy. I have heard that you can force flower a clone but I have only one grow space, so I couldnt flower a clone without flowering the entire grow box. please help me out

Any advice?

You can veg the plant for a few weeks, then you take a cutting (correctly) and put it in a rooting hormone solution then in a rock wool type of cube and put it in a SEPERATE area to flower 12/12.When it sexes you know what that plant is. It will add 4-6 weeks time. I think you know all that allready so yeah what they said dimensions of grow area please. helps to read the whole post before replying DOH!

Honestly if you are strapped for cash then save up your money till you can afford to grow. Nutes gets expensive and to me the proper setup is worth more than the crazy genetics that are out there (sometime). There is no point in fully committing to something if you cant fund it.

I mean I have nutes and stuff just no money for premium seeds. My setup is a bathroom vanity converted into a grow box and its about 2 ft long and 1.6 ft wide, also no more than 35 inches tall. For lights I have (2) 68W CFL's. One is 2700k the other is 5000k. Along with that I have like (3) 23W CFL in each spectrums. For the medium, I use Scotts Premium Potting Soil, but I am currently waiting for a FFOF order I placed in the nearest hydro store, so I am probably going to use that.

And guys, please dont tell me to flower clones. I already made it clear this is the only space I have to grow in. I would have nowhere to keep the clone in the 12/12 schedule. I made this thread to try to find alternatives to that.

Wasnt going to suggest you flower clones, seems you have all that you need to get the job done. I would start off in smaller pots grow a little and then flower them out when you are ready. Just do all the bag seed you can in the small space. You are bound to find a female in there.

Is it ok if I grow the plants without the scrog screen till they preflower, and then I just kill the males and train the females under the screen, or are they too unflexible to be trained by then? That is basically my main worry. That if i start training them from the beggining, Ill have gaps in the canopy after removing the males or if I train after preflower, they get harder to train and I stress them too much.

Why not top them then LST until sexing? Once they show sex kill the males and throw the screen over the females; cut the strings from the LST and let them fill in the screen.

Hmmm I could do that. But I have been reading all day and from what I can see, most people are saying that clones work better than plants grown from seed. If that is the case, I can germ like 4 seeds and 1 of them SHOULD be a female. Then I can clone her 1-2 times and use those. Even though the only downside to this is that the grow would take a bit longer.

Basically my only concern is the plant stems being way too thick and stiff by the time preflowers show up, and training them under the screen being hard or stressful to the plant.

I would put out 4 diffrent seeds grow them for about 3-4weeks, put them into flower and find some females. If you have more than 1 keep the best looking plant. Myself I would stay away from cloning till you get some good genetics and more space. Also their is alot of diffrent methods on traing plants. If you are working with a stiff pant I would use a SUPER CROPING method. That shold help slow dowe the plant Becouse of your space. Then go back to the SROG.
