Unsuccessful FIM/top

I topped my plant about 4-5 days ago and checked new growth today. It has one little green sprout on the side and the rest of the part I cut is still that black/brown color and hasn't grown at all. I know it has to do with plant hormones, and this is a triploid, so I was really hoping for a bunch of colas.... I'm pretty disappointed. Is there anything else I can do to encourage the rest of the cut area to grow?

if you cut the top off (Top). those side buds will become your two colas.
If you did a correct FIM. wait a little bit you should see some good growth coming out the top of the Shoot Apical Meristem.

Cut that shoot again. Nothing will grow from that site, but it will turn itself into a nice little bush with 2 large fan leaves on top.

I sometimes will do this to a plant intentionally, but let it get about 5- 7 nodes first.

Lol I guess I didn't miss... I also guess I didn't do much of anything good... I didn't think it was possible to fuck up a FIM haha!

Here's a crappy pic:

4-5 days? You're going to need to work on your patience or this is going to be a looooooooong grow.
