i have a small sytem set up and i put in a co2 regulaor and got a tank ...a 250 pound tank .....my question is this since my roomate works at a wilding supply store and i can get large amounts of c02 for next to nothing, should i increase the amount or use the amount that was calculated to bring the co2 up set by the and cubic size of my box .......short version is it beneficial to open the valve up more when the timer kicks on or leave it set at proper levels

1500ppm when lights are on is all you need. Typically there is already around 300ppm of CO2 in the air, get it up to 1500ppm and that is optimal. I believe 3000ppm will damage your plant and YOU. Only do it during lights on.

By the way, a 250lb tank is insane!!! My 20lb tank lasts for a couple months. lol

check out the sticky thread for the co2 calculater. put your room dimensions in and it tells you what to set the regulator at and when to set your timer. or just get a controller and your problems will vanish..

Thats just a propane burner thats water cooled..
Regarding unlimited CO2, >2000ppm or so starts to get toxic to both plants and mammals..
