Uninformed Budtender's in Seattle?

Was just checking everyone's experience in the Seattle area with co-op/dispensary/collectives knowledge of what they are selling in terms of breeder genetics, smell, flavor, ect... Some places are better than others (I've been to about 7). I've been to one really good dispensary but the rest have needed serious improvement. I asked a bud tender what a strain smell and tasted like and he looked at me like...."uh...weed".

I am a grower and the only reason for me to donate money (for something i already have) is to sample strains I would like to have in my garden. But not knowing anything about genetics kills me. Cali connect, tga sub cool, DNA, dr green thumb, greenhouse seeds, barney's farm, ect.... Please just ask when vendors drop off "what the fuck it this?" :peace:

seconded, My main problem with the seattle dispensaries is that the medicine seems stale like its not properly cured, I wonder if it is how they store it in the dispensaries or what, also being a person that really needs a pure sativa, I have really noticed that a "pure" sativa is hard to find.

I notice the same thing. I've had patients that claimed their better off with my product. Properly cured? I'm surprised they cured it at all. I feel you with the lust for sativas. Yes they are hard to find, probably the fact that flowering is longer. I'm developing super lemon haze(sativa dominant) right now.

If you knew anything about growing, which you clearly don't, you'd know that a "pure Sativa" takes 12-14 weeks to flower. No grower is going to go that long with a strain in a market like WA's where primary patients smoke free and secondary patients pay as much as $10/gram and as little as $180/oz. Learn to grow or stop bitching.

I have only been to Sensable Patient Network, but have been very satisfied with knowledge of medicine. Though they won't tell me everything in the genetic make up, they tell me some of the lineage, and how it tastes and the effects of coarse. The best part is after a few trips they noticed my likes and dislikes in meds and started to recommend similar products.

I use a delivery service very similar, called Therapuetic Health Center (THCWA.org). Very knowledgeable, always has a few sativas, a few indicas, and 1-2 hybrids. It's not a huge business with a storefront and shit, but very high quality meds from these people and free delivery. Always knows his strains very well, some of it he grows himself, but all of them are grow locally in commercial-quality environments. Just to be clear, beyond being a member of this cooperative, I am in no way affiliated with them and this is NOT an advertisement, but merely a statement of my personal experiences.

I think the quality has gotten a little better since last spring. Places were literally open for just a few weeks when i first checked them out. I have found at least one spot that is truly top notice and that's The Green Door in Seattle, like Virulient this is not an advertisement but merly my own personal experience.

That's interesting because the green door in Denver is one of the worst in the entire state. They must not be affiliated.

Ya the clubs around the seattle areas are shoddy for sure. To be honest most of the illegal growers have better product. The clubs have wack crap, clones that are shitty and no special strains. The hashes are unimpressive to say the least. I have yet to be impressed with seattle area medical mj.

The humidity levels in the Seattle area are really high (around 55% to 60%), so the flowers have to be dried and cured with perfect attention to detail and stored properly. If you are a MMJ Patient in Washington and looking for an amazing sativa that is fresh and has been cured to perfection come check out the Maui at Fusion MMJ! I posted a picture of the plant in an earlier post...:leaf:
Lol you put your literal location down! Here's where I live, fyi!

Yeah, Seattle co-ops are struggling. I know a few in the Tacoma area that are doing it right though....killer genetics, properly cured buds (most clubs neglect this step) and a variety of full melt for 20 a gram...

I've probably only been to around 10 places in this area but I end up frequenting the same collective most of the time. The guy that owns it is a breeder and every once in a while he'll throw in a few seeds for me to try out

1) dispensaries are not legal
2) supplying your own meds will always get you the best product
3) follow the state law, you wont get rich, but you will never be without meds
