Umol/Watt - "Impossible" Readings

I have never in business ( been self employed since 1991) would I bad mouth a competitor! It's shows lack of respect for the business industry as a whole not to mention breeds resentment that is bad for ones mental / physical heath...Postive vibes!

I come here to learn not for a Jerry Springer show!

There are valid points to each side of this argument, I guess both companies need to merge into one new company called HLGHGL to make sure everyone gets the best of both worlds.

I am enjoying the show, I want more of it when the side by side tests are done, I was always more of a Maury fan though rather than Jerry.

This looks really good and shows a very mature attitude to the end user etc, two firms bitching over some numbers and penetration, Neither of these two seem fit to run a company and really should be ashamed fuckme I don't hear Rita on here giving off stink, no she is busy laughing and selling her knock offs from knock off boards by the lorry load. Oh and now we are adding red/blue lights to leds is this not where it all started. Who is ripping who off.

Bingo! And what is the purpose of a grow tent if not to maintain a difuse lighting environment? If difusion didn't matter there wouldn't be grow tents or rooms painted white. Penetration is a myth. show me measurements of how much light passes through a leaf. How much of its energy was spent becoming heat? how much light is left to stimulate the next leaf below it. How much is it diffused while "penetrating? Set up a plant and a light in a black room and see how far a USEFUL amount of light penetrates.

As someone who has actually built and sold grow tents, who tested hundreds of mylar lining materials specifically for grow tents, more specifically in how effectively they reflect LED light, I can tell you there is less than a 17% difference in overall reflectivity from one material to the next. That was the highest difference we were able to quantify using a quantum light meter. Tents act as a form of reflector bouncing light that's outside your coverage area back inwards. They are certainly beneficial, but when you compare a 30 umol gain from diffuse light vs a 600 umol difference from penetrative light it's a pretty steep math equation to say "30 umol is going to kick 600umol butt". Yeah, that's not how plants work.

I seriously have had enough of you and think a quieter forum that doesn't have administrators that allow you to run your mouth off at everyone then cry to have posts deleted because they offend you with reality would be a better place for me.

Here’s my 2 cents...

Last month I made the leap to led, before making a purchase I spent hours and hours not only looking at data sheets and spectrum trying to get a grasp on the investment I was making but also looking for feed back from others who bought what I was looking to purchase via multiple grow journals on multiple forums.

In this research not once did hydro grow led come up. Not once... even after all this drama started I still couldn’t find one grow journal or even a mention of your company. Further more the way you present the company on riu I would never support your company. All I’ve read for a few days is chatter that’s basically typing in circles and bashing your competitors.

All that being said I won’t even bring the company I ended up going with into this shit show thread, but I’m very happy with my purchases. In fact will be buying three more fixtures from them very soon. And the best part, customer service was amazing and they carry themselves like a respected company on riu...
