LOL Kimbo wont make it in the UFC, he isnt an mma fighter, he is just a fighter, thats why Bas washed his handed of him, and he got BEAT UP by Seth Petruzelli, a guy that dresses in womens clothes, im sure his hommies were proud. Any decent fighter can avoid his 1 big punch

Okay, we know who here likes MMA but who here trains in it. Training in Karate, or Hapkido, or anything that is not bjj, muay thai, wrestling, boxing, or just submission wrestling does not count. I"ve been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for about 10 years now and have competed in the ring a few times.

Lyoto Machida the undefeated light heavy weight champion of the UFC would disagree. Shotokan Karate blackbelt and BJJ blackbelt.

That karate stance made Rashad look dumb. Rampage is straight ducking Machida.

I don't train in traditional martail arts but they clearly have their place in modern combat sports.

I train western boxing and BJJ.

Nice try though.

Kimbo burns too much greenery to be a UFC fighter. Not to mention he is way to old.

Also, he has zero skill. He got KTFO by a 205 pounder that couldn't make it in the UFC light heavy division. How will Kimbo, 235 lbs small for heavy weight, fair against men that are bigger, younger and more talented?

Bas Rutten trained Kimbo to begin his MMA training. Rutten is a former UFC champ and highly respected trainer. Well guess who quite training Kimbo because he chased too much tail and burned the leaf?

One fight good night. Then off to WWE where he belongs.

What are you trying to say? That his karate alone wins his fights? Sure he trains in Karate, but he also knows how to get out of an armbar, knows how to apply a triangle, knows what an omaplata is and knows the ins and outs of the clinch. My point was training in Karate or any of the other traditional martial arts alone do not equate training for MMA.
Nice try though.

You didn't say that in the post I quoted. Did you notice how I said he was a black belt in Karate and BJJ? Go look I never said Karate alone was winning fights.

You said TMA's were worthless and I pointed out someone using them very succesfully in conjunction with BJJ/MMA training.

You said you didn't want to hear from people who train in TMA's. Would you say that to Machida?

It seems you've really figured out the subtle dynamics of MMA and I'm excited to see you smash Machida and his lame karate in the next few months. When do you make your UFC debut?
