So, who watches, who tokes prior to? Do you watch at home, at a bar.... Who you got tonight?

I am going out on a limb and saying Jardine.

Hey there. I toke before, during and after. I watch in the comfort of my home because I can't stand people who are ignorant to the fight game and holler out stupid shit like stand them up.

A part of me thinks that Jardine is going to win because of those wicked cut kicks and his general work ethic; not to mention, he is training with one of the best camps. I really like Rampage though. I've been a huge fan from his first days is Pride. So this fight is a real toss up. I don't like how Dana is saying if Rampage wins, he gets a shot at the title, but if Jardine wins, Machida gets the shot at the title. I would like to see Machida get a shot now and then the winner of Rampage/Jardine gets the next shot.

The fight that I'm really interested in is the Gonzaga/Carwin. I think this is going to be a war. I find Carwin a one dimensional fighter, but strong as an ox. GG can take an ass kicking, but is more well rounded. If this goes into the second or third round, GG for sure, but Carwin could very well end it in the first round.

I'm not to crazy about the rest of the card, but it has a lot of potential to be big.

-Quinton Jackson vs. Keith Jardine

-Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Shane Carwin

-Matt Hamill vs. Mark Munoz

-Gray Maynard vs. Jim Miller (potential for fight of the night)

-Matt Brown vs. Pete Sell

-Brandon Vera vs. Mike Patt

-Kendall Grove vs. Jason Day

-Tim Boetsch vs. Jason Brilz

-Tamdan McCrory vs. Ryan Madigan

-Aaron Riley vs. Shane Nelson

Do watch Dana's blogs that he puts up on youtube?

I sometimes watch him, but he can get a little annoying, like Joe and Goldie... I am in it for the fights pretty much... you roll at all? I fool around with the BJJ and MT boxing, but nothing serious...

Yep, the Carwin fight will let us know if he belongs or not... I don't think he does, but this will give us a good picture.... Rampage will ge the shot for sure... I want to see Machida fight Evans tho...

My buddy would have fight nights and have 10 guys over. Have some blunts pre-rolled, couple of spoons, and a J or 2 if someone so desired. He would also have beer and several types of liquor and he would order pizza and wings so that they showed up right when the munchies hit. Never would take a dime from anyone. Too bad I moved, I really miss the good times.

You don't know the sport yet, that's all. Give it time. I am on the edge of my seat when thee is a good ground fight going. LnP are boring, but good BJJ and GnP is very exciting to watch... if you understand what they are doing...

I've trained muay thai for 10 years and have been doing BJJ for the last 5.

I personally think that Machida would walk through any of those guys; his style is to flawless, at least so far. I'm worried about Machida and Evans being a boring fight because they're both counter fighters so they may be waiting for each other to make the first move.

It does seem like that at first, but you'll come to understand and love it. I think the ground game is the hardest and most tiring of a fight. But it can get really boring with wrestlers who don't know what to do when on the ground.

I always get frustrated when someone has the back and the person underneath is on all fours trying to stand up. The person on the back just throws punches instead of grabbing that wide open neck and choking it off.

I'm so pumped, but we're having a wicked thunder storm right now and the damn satellite is out. Might have to watch it online.

We going to do a PBP on here?

W.Silva vs R.Franklin UFC 99 WOOOOO
Thats going to be a good fight. Wandi is too wild for Franklin, so I'm thinking that Franklin will get knocked out.

I met Franklin before and I must say that he is a lot shorter in person then they say he is. lol. I've always looked at him different since I met him; now that we're, eye to eye.lol.

Mir and Lesnar is cancelled. Mir had surgery on one of his knees he fucked up during training. They're suppose to announce who is the replacement tonight.

Off topic. Anyone watching the Dream LightWeight Tounament?

****SPOILER ALERT*****

These are the results from the pre-fights.
- Aaron Riley vs. Shane Nelson

R1 – Riley opens with some good leg kicks and gets a trip takedown. As the two fighters got back to the feet they exchange strikes, and Nelson connects with a glancing right hand that sends Riley down to the mat. As Nelson follows up with a few more strikes, Riley recovers and starts to defend, but the referee steps in and stops the fight. Very poor stoppage to the fight.

Shane Nelson def. Aaron Riley by TKO (strikes on the ground) :44 seconds R1

Brandon Vera vs. Mike Patt

R1- Vera comes after Patt early with some vicious leg kicks. The fighters continue to exchange on the feet with Vera being the aggressor and Patt only playing defense. Vera continues to absolutely punish Patt's lead leg. Vera starts to alternate body shots with a couple of kicks to the head, which Patt blocks effectively. The fighters slow as the round closes.
MMAWeekly scores R1 10-9 for Brandon Vera

R2- Vera opens the round by again punishing Patt's leg and eventually he falls down. As he struggles to make it back to the feet, Vera again attacks the leg and Patt again drops the canvas and referee Yves Lavigne stops the fight.

Brandon Vera def. Mike Patt by TKO (leg kicks) at 1:27, R2

Tim Boetsch vs. Jason Brilz

R1- Boetsch blasts Brilz early on gaining the upper hand on the feet, and hits him with another nice uppercut as the fighters exchange just away from the cage as well. As Boetsch goes for a leg kick, Brilz is able to secure a takedown, but quickly Boetsch is back up. Brilz stays aggressive but doesn't land anything effective, as Boetsch is able to counter with another good couple of uppercuts.
MMAWeekly scores R1 10-9 for Tim Boetsch

R2- Brilz clinches early and gets a nice trip takedown, landing in Boetsch's guard. Brilz is able to pass into side control where maintains position and hits Boetsch with short forearm shots and punches. Brilz does a great job of moving from side control to north/south, while punishing Boetsch along the way. Boetsch eventually springs to his feet, with Brilz still holding on to his waist and against the cage Brilz begins throwing knees to the thigh of Tim Boetsch.
MMAWeekly scores R2 10-9 for Jason Brilz

R3- Boetsch stuffs an early takedown attempt from Brilz, but is soon clinched against the cage and seems to be out of wind. Boetsch lands a nice knee as Brilz again shoots in, but Brilz is able to hold on and while trying to escape, Boetsch gives up his back. Brilz the moves to side control, before the fight again moves back to the feet. Brilz takes Boetsch down again with a nice single leg and moves flawlessly to side control. Brilz moves to mount where he opens a cut over Boetsch's left eye. The fight ends with Brilz still mounted on Boetsch.
MMAWeekly scores R3 10-9 for Jason Brilz

Jason Brilz def. Tim Boetsch by unanimous decision (29-28 on all scorecards) R3

No problem, always gotta put a spoiler alert on. You don't have to worry about these fights because these are the pre pay per view fights that they don't air. They usually put one maybe two up if the other fights don't last long. I remember you saying something about it being showed at 2pm Sunday where you are. Is that right?
