Two weeks 12/12 no buds - Help please

I'm growing two plants (indoors) with a 150 watt hps currently and I switched to 12/12 on October 10th. The plants have stretched and showed sex (both females) but have not been producing any bud. I am growing Northern Lights Blue by Delicious seeds. It is 100% indica and flowering time is only 50-55 days. There is maybe 1 or two pistils on every bud site but they haven't produced much of anything. I read somewhere to switch the lights to 11/13 but I wasn't sure if this was the right approach. There are no light leaks and the plants are in good health based on my own observations.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

How long since the flowers starting showing?

Thanks for the quick response. Within a week they started showing but there hasn't been any real or significant progress since. I did switch pots from 1 to 3 gallons for each plant before flowering and I waited 3-4 days before switching to 12/12. So far they have stretched very nicely but that's about it. They are getting plenty of light from the HPS and I never interrupt them during their dark time hours.

The breeders time frame is based on days from when flowers started to show so you have plenty of time. Got any pics?

Looks like you've got the beginnings of nute burn, a cal mag def, a PH imbalance, or all of the above. I see cupped leaves, with some yellowing starting, and I see the tips of the leave starting to burn. I'd start with checking your PH, that will cause lockout of different nutrients. What is your growing medium? What nutes and how much?
Catch this problem early and they will be fine. They are very good looking girls!

if any of these are present(if anything just a weeee bit of nute burn but nothing major) it isnt effecting the flowers. keep going as you are and your buds wil show:D
and i wouldnt change nutes or anything till that very slight problem becomes more obvious.
but part that they're lookin very healthy :D

good luck!!:D

Take a look at the 3rd pic, right hand side plant. It IS showing signs already. The second pic shows also, and gives a little better perspective of the leaf margin curl up. You keep letting it go, and your gonna be in trouble. I'm just sayin...

make sure to not start counting flowering time till buds show exspetially with a short flowering strain like that. 2 weeks can be very crusial when your only flowering for 55 days. my last grow took forever to take off i thought they would never go. have faith in them.

Edit : haha 55 not 5 days

Make sure you dont have a light leak in your box, mine usualy show by 2 weeks, but i have a Bagseed going now that took 3 weeks to see sex.

yeah i see it like, but you mentioned like four or five problems it could be. i seriously doubt that its all of them. so if he tried to treat it now he could seriously fuck it up. i was saying wait until he can pinpont the exact problem then deal with it and it will be aaaaalll good:D

Sorry about the delay of my response. I've been super busy. You're absolutely right, there is some nute burn. I made a mistake and added nutrients (fox farm) way too early. I've been steadily flushing them and they have made a decent recovery thus far. But I didn't think this would have a major effect on flowering as the nute burn is minimal. I also added the same amount of nutes to the left plant and it seemed to have no effect on it whatsoever.
