actually from your journal looks like you got a decent setup. But what you got for fans? check the heat right at the top of the plant and get a temp at the base and look at the difference since cold air sinks. Might need to look for a way to cool down your lights faster if the heat is spreading to your plants.

i looked at your jopurnal. do you know your ph levels, could be messed up cause of your watering may be off

Ok, I have got a pretty standard intake and exhaust fan, plus an oscilliating fan in there for air movement. I have temp reading for the whole room and its been 20 - 22 degrees C. Its weird cos I do the hand test and it doesnt even feel remotely hot. Could it be lacking in something? Ph to high or low? How would I cool the lights?

The ph of my water is 6.5, havent tested the soil yet. I have this soil testing kit and its not very accurate but that came up at 7 I think. Im going to invest in a proper soil/moisture meter.

dont waste your money on a moisture meter. they arent acurate. lft the pots, when they feel as light as when you firsty planted them and had not watered yet. you need to let them get to that point before watering, the soil should start to pull away from the sides of the pots first.
you will get a better reading of soil if you did down gently about 1/3 down the pots and take a bit of soil. then put in cup with water then screen the soil out then test that. more acurate

I have had the edges almost look rippled on the edges from to much heat, iono wish he had a picture of it. Really to hard to tell without seeing.

I am about 3 weeks out of sprouting, 1 week since I put them under the 2 400w hps. Im only giving them half strength rhizotonic from canna. Was thinking about giving them 1/4 strength of terra vega... Good idea? Or not?

thats heat isnt it? the ripples on the edges. Odd it looks like a combo of things. I have had leaves twist like that when I missed a few waterings but they didnt get crunchy and get that all bent up look. Check heat and check ph like bonz said.

nope. both the twisting and the colour funk there are signes of ph imballance. usualy from improper wet/dry.
these plants like it dryer than most. they came from dry climates and water schedule is the most common problem with people learning.
before watering next time let it get dry enough so the leaves start to droop. then give it just enough ph`d water till you get a small amount of run off out the bottom.
then next time water the day before it would have drooped, and stay like that.
the saying of less is better works for everything to do with growing except for light.

have you nuted at all. if so how often do you give it to them

they get burnt like that with the ph problem because it locks the soil causing burn

Just that canna rhizotonic at half stregth, every second water.. Should I give them nutes yet? Ok I will hold off on the water and try tomoro. Will that sort the problem or do I need to do something to sort the ph (if thats the problem)

if the soil is off you may need to flush.
let it get real dry. there is usualy enough nutes in most soils for 3 weeks.
i start my nutes after i get my 4th node, and i only give 1/8 first hit then 1/4 next then on to the normal schedule.
so ya no nutes
