Important: all patients that are sending meds back, ask for your original ATP back as it is yours and it is valid as per the injunction. this will insure you are still active in the MMAR, don't lose your Constitutional Right.
If you think about it, when the Extracts reg gets overturned, the LCP's will get NO revenue from this as they are restricted to dried Cannabis, goes the same for the vending machines, as you need a address to put it somewhere LOL, again restricted to Delivery only, Hell Canada has fucked things up again Bahaha

If you do research on Gamma Radiation use on medical Cannabis, you will find that it does degrade Trerpenoids that are responsable for smell and taste, this is why most of all Commercial weed (we should call it) tastes and smells like burning rope. also there is no sugar, no frost, NO Thanks.
Interesting stuff - any references to get folks started? All I've seen is the off-hand comment by GW Pharma http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3165946/pdf/bph0163-1344.pdf) that references work done on cilantro and orange juice. So far, it seems that it degrades a specific class of them (the acyclic monoterpenoids) but doesn't completely destroy them, It actually boosted some aroma compounds and had zero effect on others. It also seemed to get drowned out by the general trends that happen during storage. I've never seen anything done directly on cannabis, not even from Bedrocan, who seem to be the only MM producer that mentions terpenes and also irradiates.

A few thoughts I'd like to share.

I've seen expressions of appreciation for Tweed's "participation" here. These things start small and quickly snowball, eventually with astroturfing, quickly devolving into calls for unity, peace, and "all just getting along". This ultimately results in the quelling of dissent and valid critic under the toxic notion that some fictitious middle ground exists with nothing but happiness, and if you're not happy like the rest of us, look out. War is peace, black is white, etc. We'd all love to just co-exist in a frictionless society but that fairytale ignores the wolves at your door, and that's the point of it. Really this fallacious tactic of going along to get along should be called Red Riding Hood.

It's a very common means of oppression "culture" where this "industry" is concerned as well. You see it every time someone is turning a fast one, where time and again the con artist manufacturers of pure garbage do nothing but rip us off, by taking advantage of a very poorly regulated industry and a vacuum of real expertise or standards. In an age of mindless consumerism, ripe with self promoting circle jerks and astroturfers of all sorts, a vast majority are all too vulnerable to the various harms this sort of thing represents, from paying ten times too much, for junk LED lights and subliminators alike, performing ten times too little, to the cumulative effects of having thousands of different products exactly like it weighing on our environment and even economy as the money gets off-shored while people import their trash to our landfills.

So called "green" products are hardly that when they're of no value in use, grossly under performing and/or malfunctioning to begin with. It is exactly the manufacturing of refuse and for the sole purpose of profiteering, all else be damned. "But we're just here to hel..for the patie... good bro giving people what they.." BS, and what a nice hood you have. All we get in return are the products of their profiteering, that fail us in every conceivable respect, including our health, if not our lives, and the rights that make them at all bearable.

Throughout all of that, some quanta of community exists as its audience and its substrate. This comes from a mutual need to and for help from one another, to overcome ancient wolves and their oppressive effects. It is through places just like this that we've acquired skills and knowledge critical to our self actualization and human dignity, while facing tremendous risk to ourselves given the illegality of it, or the fact that the knowledge some of us share in the helping of others will be taken and used against the whole of us in the worst of ways and by the worst of people.

Through our blood sweat and tears some small "victories" have been won that forced the hand of government, who set the conditions for an industrial hijacking long ago that's playing out very nicely today. Right now, the fact is that companies like Tweed exist at the direct expense of everything good that came from it. The only grower with the sole intent to help a patient that will ever exist, is yourself. That's just a sad reality of the sick society we suffer. We see the evidence of that exactly in Tweed's offerings, and the quality of due care that they put into them so far.

T(errible)Weed has multi-million dollar big shoulders. Our human rights bought them. Corporations aren't people and they really don't give a damn about you more than what they can use you for. You see that irrefutably in their products from their T-weed to their T-Arizers. It simply can't be argued that they're here for the benefit of the community without being on the wrong side of "is vs ought".

So, I think if Tweed and others like them want to "participate" here, it should be with special considerations and regulations, lest this "community" devolve into a springboard for their nameless and unaccountable PR departments, and with like forums such as FC, where a negative word can't be tolerated no matter how relevant and dire, because they're just good bros, bro.

Tweed, I recommend and request that your synnecrotic presence here and in social media in general not waste our time posting memes and insults like "stay classy", as if you're some wounded angel through no fault of your own that we should have pity on, and while avoiding the uncomfortable questions, like why a "regulated medical" company is in the unregulated novelty product business, or why the reasons for the failed tests, and the number of times it failed the tests, aren't printed on the labels specifically, or why the full test results aren't available, along with what you'll be doing differently from now on, such as either improving your process, or shrugging your shoulders because irradiating it is more economical.

Also, don't you think that the garbage medical devices you're now selling should be up to a minimal medically approved standard if you as a company or the MMPR in general are to be taken at all seriously? Or is it just easier to have it both ways, because you're the government's little pet right now, and because you can be a cool dude on Facebook and your value in shares will be more dictated by your number of likes than the actual abhorrent quality of the products that you distribute.

It has to be appreciated as well that the only value perceived in your company stems from your sweetheart oligarchy, and from which you clearly jumped at the chance to fail miserably on even a very minimal level of any manner of actual quality standard that any of us would find at all significant. I really recommend that you don't even attempt to address that with memes and thought terminating cliches, again. Instead I recommend that you strive to do better and let the results speak for themselves. All of that time you spent on facebook would have been far better spent doing your homework.

I would like to hear what specific actions you'll be taking to improve things, rather than what you're wishing for on Facebook. Even Tim Hortons has their enumerated steps as to how to produce a quality coffee consistently, and the irony of that shouldn't be lost either, but it's at least something more than your vacuous hopes and aspiration mission statements that you can be measured by. I think you owe all of that to the people whose human rights you exist off the backs of, because the very best of your buds will only ever be akin to blood diamonds.

Also, what do you think your presence on Facebook means for the privacy of your clients that you're requesting likes from there? Was it considered as a priority, or at all? I'd like to hear your policy decision on that.

Tweed, do you think people ought to be able to grow for themselves, or do you think they need you, because you can supposedly do it better and safer, and that there should be no choice of that for them in this "free market"?

Tweed, can you provide us finally with the MSDS information for the mystery melting material inside the novelty device vaporizer that you're selling? Don't say Mica. Only the final composite is acceptable, or every single individual ingredient in it. The manufacturer has been refusing us that information for years and while neglecting to address the obvious design flaws. If not, can Chuck personally vouch for it, and is he willing to, under his own name, publicly in writing, all nice and legal like?

Thanks so much T-weed.

You hardly need a study. Terpenes are so volatile that a large mark of a good grower is someone who can produce a final product that's ready to serve while having managed to retain them in any quantity at all.

Just the additional handling alone, and breaking it up like they did, means they'll be largely gone. Whether gamma radiation by itself contributes to that specifically or not is almost irrelevant, but even a very cursory understanding of material physics is enough to know it will largely evacuate them. You excite the molecules to a higher state of energy... they become more mobile...... bye bye.

People mention they're responsible for "taste and flavor" and while that's partially true it ignores the fact that they're also a very important component of the medical value of it as well. Without them, it's garbage. To conclude:

Will you buy irradiated medicine?

Yes
No

Can't be answered because it's a loaded question giving way to a false dichotomy. The answer is it's no longer medicine.

Thank you particle for taking the time to post your thoughts.
There is something to be said for that old saying " keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer". I think it's a good thing if the LPs are here and involved in dialogue. The key is, involved in dialogue. If they isn't any productive communication then they should stick to twitter and fb.

There is nothing but anecdote for the terpenes having an effect. There is no clinical evidence that it is anything other than "I prefer lemon cough syrup to cherry" or making aspirin for kids that is chewable and orange flavoured. If you know of any actual clinical studied showing otherwise, I would like to read them and would sit corrected. I hope GW Pharma & Bedrocan are beavering away and such studies so we can finally have some statistically sound evidence.

Any MM supplier that makes flavour claims should back it up with GC data showing proper QC.

So just was skulking around the tweed website and looking in their "shop" in another thread some of you said that LP id cards are worth anything as in "proof" of legal possession

Going out? Here’s a stylish option to keep your customer card and medicine all in one place. Free as a gift with your first medical marijuana order.
Ummm maybe they are informing their customers wrong or their id card is legal proof of possession???? anyone know the rulez?

Flaky looking "carry all" unless maybe your a hipster or something... wonder if it was made in china

I think I may have figured out why tweed irradiated... I just found a seed in one of the sixty-three (chocolate chunk) buds. I assume irradiating would sterilize these seeds? Wonder if tweed had a lot of de-seeding to do hence the airy mangled buds!

The government will just change the rules like they do when things aren't going their way. Don't give up your pink slip(s) ever. It's their way of keeping you down.

Ugh, more of the same . Sorry about your luck brewery. It looks like a large order. Any plans on a return?
This is for my sick wife... She is going to keep it as it's her only legal option. It's still better than the pharma cocktail alternative. I'm hoping the quality will be better in the future if not the lp options should be better and we will switch her.

Yeah it sucks big time some people have no other options and this is what they have to use as "medicine". Pretty pathetic the LPs think this garbage is ok to sell to sick people. Instead of 1 PPS I guess we have 13 now.

Hey Brewery
So sorry to hear this. Many of us hear feel for you and her.
Hopefully it will help her til better meds are found
Help is on it's way in the form of a cross appeal these issues will be argued in court and one in perticular is the fact that the decision of the judge in the injuction erred in the fact that stats quo did not include access through the MMAR thus patients are excluded from access to a caregiver or Designated grower as well as personal production licences. plese log into the coalition site and you will find licenced patients with alot of anwsers to your questions, If you find that fighting for our personal Gardens and legal access to Medical Cannabis is important, make a small donation as litigation is not cheap.
