The dying leaves is completely normal. Especially with the stress she has been through. Im looking at the overall plant health , not just the small ugly buds. You can cut the tops out and let the lower stuff get more mature if ya want but i would just wait it out. She not near as bad as you think. not great but not the trash your thinking about.
What strain is it ?

Looks pretty good despite the issues!

Personally I wouldn’t waste my time popping the seeds. I know you had problems along the way but the plant could of had hermie traits to begin with which could be passed along into the seeds.

If you're finding seeds it's already been pollinated. Chopping early won't change anything. Finish it out, smoke it, and get stoned. Just pick out the seeds. It's not that big of a deal. With the prices people pay for seeds it's astonishing how they freak out over a few in their buds.
Yep, at this point just let her finish n' get high. Toss the seeds in a ditch somewhere, forget about them and maybe they will turn into an urban legend. Lol

im with doug , never starve your plants. keep um happy to the end. That whole letting them fade thing is an old hydro myth from the 80's.
I'll respectfully, disagree, some. You really don't have to feed them in the end. And fades are pretty. But it won't hurt either. I just wait till it's ready. Still green or faded, don't really care. But as I said, fades are pretty...

I get opinions vary. I don't care about fade personally, pretty colors is not really what I am after although fall colors do look cool on the plants. I just don't believe in starving a plant. I grow in coco so a week of just water does bad things as long as you have been feeding them right. I prefer to taper back on the nutes during the final stage but to each their own. Now if in soil there will be nutes in there during the water only phase, I suppose there are factors that make it difficult to use a blanket statement for the end of the plants life cycle. As the old saying goes, there is more than one way to skin a cat. :peace:

You are not completely wrong. So when the pistils stop reaching out and turn color it is time to start looking at the trichomes. So you are right that them all turning orange is a sign but not to harvest, it is a sign to look deeper. I am glad you made it to this point, hope the smoke turns our great for you. Here are some good pics that may help you down the road bud. 19515398-standard.jpgTrichome ripeness.jpgtrichomes.pngwhen to harvest by trichomes.pngWhen_To_Harvest2.jpg

Right on friend. That's why I stick to soil nowadays. Coco, or any other hydro is too big of a chore for me anymore. Heck the way I have everything in the hoop house laid out I don't even have to water much. And that is cool by me. Some times I have waited over a week. And they're still fine. Every now and then I give them a tea or some other form of organic boost or a top dressing. But near the very end there's enough there (between the plants stores and the organic materials in the soil) to make it over the hump.
As to these ways of cat skinning you speak of ,,, there are plenty strays in my neighborhood, and anyone is welcome to use them for honing those different methods. Lol
