Trying yet another style

Gonna try my hand @ DWC. i made my 5gal bucket bubbler thang & dropped in a couple clones (black russian) on left & (royal flush)on right. Had a problem to start, water level too high. these have only been in a couple days, the 1 i had been drowning by mistake i trashed rather than wait for it ton dry out.

20130622_220153.jpg20130622_220111.jpg20130622_220041.jpg20130622_220025.jpg.....this is my 1st time trying this style so i could use a few good tips. i got my 5gal buckets from you know where doubled up to make sure light cant get in, gh air pumps....they came with my waterfarms but i never used them, i bought another pump from walmart with 2 air outlets, small air stone in each. is a small airstone enuff for this or should i get a bigger 1 ? i have seen growers with 2 stones in a bucket....cfl lighting for now. if everything goes well i will be vegging for however long it takes my other 2 grows to finish. they are both flowering @ the moment with a loooong way to go...lol

Not off to a great start, got some searious sagging going on with my black russian (1st pic). i see some growth on the royal flush which has been in there a few days longer so maybe the other clone is just adjusting.....we will see. 20130623_194210.jpg20130623_194240.jpg

Ok,i found that plants were having trouble cuzz of my high ass not thinkng. like i said this is my 1st time trying this but thats no excuse for the bonehead mistake i made...i put fresh water in my buckets & added nutes for the 1st time. i was using tap water being ran str8 into the buckets instead of into a jug 1st then mixed....anyway, for whatever reason i just put my tsp of nutes into the bucket thinking the airstone was enuff to mix it, WRONG !

anyway things are looking better now that nutes have been properly mixed...20130628_211745.jpg20130628_211730.jpg20130628_211712.jpg20130628_211706.jpg...lost a couple leaves butoots are coming in nice & white but i forgot to take a few shots, will get them in a couple days.

Hey Musangwow, always feels good to know someone other than myself learned from my mistakes...lol....i also feel thats one of the biggest benefits of keeping things as simple as possible, had i been one that adds a laundry list of additives to the water i may be still searching for an answer to what the hell was wrong.

In just 2 days after correcting problem i see plenty of new growth......Black Russian...20130630_122223.jpg20130630_122206.jpg20130630_124055.jpg.........Royal Flush....20130630_124122.jpg20130630_122223.jpg20130630_124156.jpg....Royal Flush has been in about 3 days longer. Growth was stunted in both plants but they seem to be on ther way now !

Once you get DWC dialed in they grow fast. Im a firm believer in LOTS of bubbles. Multible airstones keeps water & plants oxygenated. Looks like your on the right path. Good luck

Thanx Budsworth.....I plan on getting more stones in them, I actually had a couple more but decided to drop them into my 2waterfarms last week. I have never used airstones in them but figured I would give it a shot. it was risky cuz they are in flower, had to lift screen & adjust baskets as I went about it but I got it done.....20130709_165543.jpg20130709_165600.jpg
