trying to get some facts right...

alright, i heard from exp. growers that if u put a stick in the middle of the lower stock a day before you cut and harvest that it will divide the THC to both sides of the plant....

Has any one heard of this???

thanks..these people are medical growers in oakland C.A. and this is what i was told..

after flushing, at the bottom of the plants stock drill a hole place a stick in it, then the next day hang it up and the THC sperates on both sides of the plant......

i do remember coming across a thread that suggested placing a straight pin through the stalk ,it was about stressing the plant by abusing it at the end of the flower cycle to get max tric, production

I dont know if it works but do you think its possible???

i heard this also from a fellow grower in WA i thought he was just BS'ing

he said to stick thumb tacks and what have you into the stock

then he explained that it makes the plant think its being attacked by bugs and produces more thc to kill them but ive never heard about this anywhere else besides that so i do not advise you do this

OP- sorry for jumping your balls.... welcome to RIU.

a plant will spent its energy repairing the damage in the time following injury, not boost trich production.

ps. thc exists ONLY within the trichomes. nowhere else.

I don't understand what you mean by divide the thc.. Its already distributed throughout the trichromes..
Furthermore, hanging plants after harvest does not cause more thc to flow etc. as other myths imply..
What does come into play with gimmicks like this is late life panic stress.. Stressing a plant via abuse, or extended dark periods just prior to harvest can cause it to produce more crystals.. It makes sense since its pretty much understood that trichromes are a protectant for the plant..
On the topic of hanging, a freshly chopped plant is still quite alive.. (Just like a clone) Growth processes will still occur for a bit.. Chopping/hanging is like the ultimate late-life stress.. I'm not saying its the ultimate method, I'm just saying there is nothing more stressful you can do to a plant..

Yes I am also curious what "divide the thc" means? If you want to make the plant create more thc and resin, keep the humidity on the drier side.

THERE IS NO THC ANYWHERE BESIDES THE TRICHOMES

the trichomes are little THC factories
