Dude, my first coil wrap was about 1/8th that size and completely wonky. :) That is a very hard skill to master and make properly spaced coils with nice even walls. Good job dude!
Thanks! I got great guys teaching me! That was my first successful one btw, my third actual one. First one I was going to slow and it kept caving in on itself, second one spacing got to tight and they touched... third one is this one. Fun stuff!

Thankfully part of the shipping software I use auto insures packages for what the customers order amount is for, although I doubt I'll even file the claim because of my overall hatred with the post office, I'm more annoyed that the customer is without their pipes, as its been a bit of a wait already as it is..... Its the first crushed up and completely lost package so far, probably not the last........ On the plus side, at least I get to make some more glass and it'll probably look better than the first round anyhow. :-)

Some Orange Kektite and Moldavite..... Both to be encased and used as decoration........ 50g of Kektite and 1.5g of Moldavite....... Shits hard to photograph, but it breaks up in nice kryptonite looking shards for the Moldavite.

Jar is orange and red elvis over star white. The dishes are all different in shape because they arent done. All seven dishes are being assembled in Skittles style as one gigantic serving dish capable of holding seven oil varieties.

That's a really cool idea. Nice job on not burnig the crayons colors. Impressed with the colors of the lips of the dishes. Really pops.

The boiling sure is the biggest bitch about working them. I generally coil pot the color onto 26mm tube, puff condense puff condense to even it out, and then attach the ball already spiraled up, and then work it out again..... On the Mirage if half of my flame has a yellow streak to it (indicating very low amount of oxygen pressure) and a decent amount of propane the crayons melt in buttery pretty easy, it just takes a very long time to get it shaped. Any bleb after the coil pots instead of removing to the water bowl, I hit it with the paddle to keep it cooler than the rest that way the nipple part doesnt boil too.

Oh yea, the biggest trick I found to prevent boiling....... As your applying your color from the raw stick, dont just lay the line down, spin the color rod hand while laying the color down that way it twists up, if you do that all of a sudden colors are about 75% less boily-prone..........

I'm also starting to think that Northstar is pretty weak with respect to having a full color palate. I'm constantly looking for better eye popping colors, I wish we had as many choices as soft glass.

Post-oil paragraph, sorry it was long, and thanks for the props. ;-)
