Hi guys. im going to give soom info on my grow. first time but long time in the hort business. 4' by 4' space with up to 50 inches but would like smaller bushy plants. 3 shop lights on the sides and a 400 watt mh that can go hps for the flower. average plant is 14'' and 7 out of 19 have alternating nodes. they all look great and have fan leaves bigger than your hand. they all have been topped and have double coalas. would you flower now or wait for the rest to produce alternating nodes. after topping they became very bushy on the inside. is this good. ferts are 24-6-18 for veg and 15-30-15 for flower. i have been carefull not to over nute using 1/4 amounts. I also have 18 new plants in the room that are 2 weeks old about 7'' tall and would like to flower them as well just to pick out the best 15 - 17 females. would you guys with more time growing this plant veg more or flower till 70% of the hairs have turned amber. will the little plant produce some decent bud. thanks for all your help. Im am still new and pics scare me is it safe for sure

hey man, pics are safe, just dont show your face. anything you post could be pulled off another site anyway, theres no way they can use it against you. and i kinda wanna see this grow, i wish i had that space, thats ideal for my system (400w)

you could flower now or you could wait longer, it all depends on the space you have available.

how old are they? not including the smaller ones.

i did learn ALOT this so far so ya man you got a point with that one...
and i think im gonna try your week of 12/12...really what do i have to lose...also im gonna LST them....cuz i only have about 2 feet of growin head room to work with..so ill just LST them around the edge of the pot...see how that goes for me....
thanks...

lol no worries man, the orthodoxed way of growing is to veg them for 2 months then flower them for as long as it takes (9-14 weeks, 10-12 on average) but if they are big enough now you could deffinately flower them. the small ones will produce a decent amount for theyre size, you would be surprised.

remember when flowering to wait... dont cut early... make sure its the right age, look at the hairs (70-80% of hairs turning amber) and more importantly the trichombs (should be about 50/50% amber/cloudy heads) just get a magnifying glass or better yet a jewlers scope, theres a brand called 420scopes but anything similar will work.

let them get through that week of 12/12 befor LSTing. that way they will be a little taller, alowing for less streas when bending. i just started LSTing that big clone in my grow journal tonight, its lookin great so far.

^^^ the top most bundle of new growth on the plant that looks like a little budd. just cut it right off under the little bundle. there is a technique called FIM, this is where you cut off about 80% of that new growth bundle, this will, if done right, make multiple tops grow from the bundle, its just cutting it right above the next few nodes to grow and the branches that would grow now grow as the tops... if done perfectly you can get up to 6,7,hell 8 tops... worth the try, cant realy hurt it more than just cutting the top off, worst thing that can happen is you either dont cut enogh and the new growth continues to grow or you cut too much and it just splits into 2 tops.

k.so let it 18/6 for another week, and then 12/12 it for a week. and then put it back into 18/6 untill it shows sex...(then stay in 18/6 untill when?)

then stay in 18/6 untill its 2 months old all together. you could cut it back as far as a month and still get ok budds but with the 2 months instead of just one you can get a shitload more. if you are eager to put it in flowering you can do it at a month and a half and see good results.

so do 18/6 for one more week, then 12/12 for a week, then back into 18/6 top and LST to one side, then after a week bend it over to the other side for a week. after that let it stand back up and you can put it into flowering, then flower for 2 months or so.

ah..ok...ill let it go the extra month...time isnt an issue its the space...(its not that i wanted to force flower early to get done with it i was wondering if i flowered it small would it be small enough to fit in the small space i have for it)...but awesome now that that is all cleared up..Thanks!
its waterin time for the babies.

mmmmmm, you might just want to flower right after the whole LSTing part, thats kindof a short space and you dont really know the genetics so they could be naturaly tall plants, the topping and LSTing should really help, just make sure theres more than a foot above them befor they go into full flowering stage, at that hight just flower no mater what.
