True north seedbank

I am running Canuk Auto Purple Kush, Cheese and Skunk 1 right now. The freebie, White widow, that I could have sworn was feminized ended up being a male. Not even one worth saving, germ problems and never outgrew the females. I will say other than that freebie everything else germed well and APK looking pretty good at about 2 wks B4 harvest. I have quite a few seeds from Canuk that I bought on the sales so I'm curious to see how everyone else's Canuk grows come out.

I only have experience with Canuk Cookies. bad experience. Plants were a waste of space not even acceptable at any level, smell/potency/yeild.... all dissapointing.
True north seems fine tho ive gotten other breeders seeds thru them no problems. I just want to save people from wasting money/time and grow room space on ca...nuts oh ya 2/3 hermied on me also. bleh gaaaaaarbage

My 4 best C99s are going into flower this weekend. A couple of them are really stinky for vegging, #2 is really standing out.

But who knows what they will turn out to be.
I'm just finishing a run of WhiteCookies (different SB) only keeping one , to try a different approach to see how it responds.
Don't have high hopes, but got to try as the buds are as hard as the stock.
Density is something I look for.

If they used CAD i'd maybe order from them. But they have pretty steep prices on most things. I also don't think they sell a lot of seeds as they have had the same freebie strains all of 2017:wink:?..so who knows of you are getting beans from 2015 or what...a few tidbits, if I may.

Do you really think you will get your singles of a particular strain in a 'breeders pack'?

There are a few seedbanks, some good, some bad, located in Canada, guys and gals and in betweens;

-Canuk Seeds - direct from them, pay in CAD and scrap TNSC, the USD charging bullshit middleman:mrgreen: - overpriced any way you look at it tho..Go look at what Archive and Karma are charging per seed- and there's no comparison of quality

-Crop King. Will never get a dime from me, $30 shipping within the same province, LOL
(if you really want CK seeds some hydro shops carry them, like GoodGuys gardening in the BC int, with way cheaper shipping :-))

-VancouverSeedBank - is in the SAME NEIGHBOURHOOD as CK and I'm pretty sure their shipping is $3 still, correct me if I'm wrong! It isn't like CK has any 'fire'...VSB doesn't have much but stock changes frequently, they are a pleasure to deal with, ship fast, discreetly, NEXT TO FREE w/just a person's name as the sender.

-Peakseeds has some old skool strains, good seeds and fair prices

-Provision seeds has a few worth looking at for sure

-JOTI - order direct and get 12 seed packs. Jordan has some worth picking up, he's from BC and the fastest strongest sprouts i have ever seen. It was a fucking race to an up pot between freebies! The original creator of God Bud, blah blah

-There's quite a few seedbanks in Quebec, they seem to focus on outdoor I'd say

-One I quite like is Buzzking, they are located in Sask. They have probably the second best selection in Canada and they understand life during the winter - they recommend using 'signature required' for when it's cold out so that your seeds aren't freezing @-30°C in your mailbox while you're at work and then rushing them inside to warm up beside the woodstove. Seeds aren't fond of that, especially if they are weak with fucked up little embryos.
They don't charge anymore for it, they just want you to get your souvenirs intact. From what I have ordered from them, including freebies, 100% germ rates.

Hemp Depot. Go have a look. Been around for quite awhile. Shipping is $19. They regularily have sales but no freebies.

There has to be 1 or 2 that I have forgotten. But I'm toned up and just dealing with my typos is a bitch ATM...bongsmilie

i think it was canadianhempco that sells counterfeit gage green seeds, at least gage greens website says so, and i went and they had like 200 packs of grapestomper bx2 in stock when not one single seed bank anywhere else has any.. so be warned about that.. that's probably why they have stuff you won't find anywhere else

peakseeds is great you can't go wrong, $30 packs and free shipping in canada? $40 USD for americans and also free shipping..

canuk and truenorth are sister companies, so it's weird one takes CAD and one doesn't....

If a breeder is calling out a specific website I'm sure that they have a valid reason to, or just a good lawyer! Is this well known about the fakes at hempco? I definitely can't claim to really know what I'm talking about, just passing on what I do know. So I appreciate the info:bigjoint:

If TNSC/Canuk are sister companies it is strange about the currency abuse, I agree. That just makes TNSC's prices more greedy and rediculous, especially regarding Canuk gear.

Thanks again@legalcanada for the heads up. I prefer to spend my money with somewhat responsible businesses, whether it's here in Canada or overseas.

All I'm asking is for a business to convince me that it's possible that they might care whatsoever about me and my experience. In the end it really doesn't matter if they do care about me or not. I've been in a few of those relationships before ;-)

Placed an order from them a little while ago.

Ordered CD1 by Medical Generics. They gave me a green Canuck Northern Lights Seed. I did request blueberry. Not a big deal. Was a freebie right. Northern Lights germinated but didn’t take in the soil.

One CD1 didn’t take in the soil after germination. I think may have been my fault. After I switched everything up, more humidity, higher light, lower temps, my one CD1 grabbed hold and saw the first two leaves this morning.

Contacted them after 20 days and no order. They said allow up to 30 days for some orders. So I did . Tracking stopped tracking after 22 days. So after continued contacting and they said it will be coming soon. It never did. They lied repeatedly to me with un for filled promises. after 35 days poof no responses. had a freind tell me similar storie with true north seed bank. Coincidence ? maybe ... I've been buying seeds online for almost a decade. and never been burned. With half dozen other seed banks. yes, im going to warn people about " TRUENORTHSEEDBANK " BUY ELSEWHERE !! only 80 bucks , but still it completely blows.

True north seed bank screwed me. repeatedly lied to me . BUYER BEWARE !!!
I believe you had a bad experience with them. There are problems that can arise in the process with shipping internationally or foreign money transactions through the bank. I had to verify the purchase from a fraud alert on my card. Basically just saying shit happens.

They are good to go. They forgot a 5 pack of seeds on my order before last. I contacted them. The seeds showed up within 10 days with another freebie seed. They are legit. Their in house genetics Canuck Seeds are very nice so far from what I have grown of theirs. Running White Widow, NL, King Tut, and Do-si-dos at the moment. They are looking nice. That’s all four strains.

- This doesn’t mean that I won’t lose my next order. So far so good though.

Also something maybe on this thread already. If you ever have issues with a seed banks product, you must discuss any replacement of product as the seeds were “uncollectible” this does work some of the times.
