Trouble with Seedlings

Ive been trying to grow from seed lately and having no luck, the first batch ( 5 ) of northern lights all died, the second batch of white widow all started good ( 6 ) but now I have only one left and its not lookingg good.

On the othe hand I have 3 Bubblegums that are going great but their growth seems a little weird, they have really long stems and the leafs are all together at the top including the embryonic leaves.

There are no branched as yet which I find disturbing about 3 weeks since sprouting, I have treated all the the seedlings the same.

What do you think?

with a lack of info I'm going to say. Bad soil and poor light. What type of soil are you using? what light and how far away from the plant?

what i would say is ....looks like you use coco coir as your medium ...i have found that a mix of soil and coir works best about half and half ...then i use plain water on em till they are ready for a transplant up ...i have been usin soil for a jump start with seeds for a while now and have good results ....tryed pure soil and pure coir ....mix works best for me tho

also looks like you start em in a rockwool cube like i do

i would think of tryin some that way tho ...cause i know how it suks to lose quality seeds .....i lost about 160 dollars worth once ....all died slowly

looks like you've over watered them for sure...just use a spray bottle to water them not a cup or jug..the soil doesn't need to be absolutely drenched because the plant gets no oxygen that way. when i put the seed into the soil for the first time I actually add water to the soil container and mix it all up by hand so it's evenly moist/dry throughout, but NOT soaking wet, and then just spray bottle water it after. also you don't have your light close enough to the top of the plant that's why it's long and stretchy...it's trying to reach the light, but it's too far away. and don't use tap water either....use distilled water only!! buy some at wally world for $1.40 for like 4 litre jug, and don't spray them with cold water either. i warm up my spray bottle by filling up the bathroom sink with hot water and letting the bottle float in it for a bit to warm it up some. good luck!

im a newbie also, always get good results with rockwool and easy to transplant to any system
but i would also say that u are overwatering and light to high because plants are stretching

Yeah thats what I thought, I was nervous they werent getting enough water as with some clones but it seems this is slightly the other way around being so young. The pics show the soil ( Canna Coco ) wet but id just tipped a little water on them as Id just placed them in. They are in small rocwool cubes.

Funny thing is Ive given the same amount of water to the widows and the bubblegums but the widows obviously hated it and the bubblegums not so much as they look ok. Ive moved them a little closer to my fluros now to help stop the stretching.

Will see how it goes in a couple of days and Ill just spray water them from now on.
