naw i just use it to cover a hole that is already covered just to make sure. i got tape on the other side of it to keep it in place

u can pretty much switch to 12/12 when ever u want i have got 3 plants that are only 3 1/2 inchs tall and have bud forming all over them so really when ever u want to :)

so the buds only grow after they have been put on 12/12 setting or well i see any type of growth before then, other then just the som bitch growing taller??

More than likely, you won't see anything til a week or two after switching to 12/12. Sometimes you will see preflowers in veg, but that usually only happens when the plant is pretty mature.
