trouble germinating afghan kush ryder and bubblicious

I placed an order for 1 afghan kush ryder and 1 bubblicious auto. I tried to germinate both seeds using the wet paper towel method. The afghan kush ryder cracked but stopped doing anything, its been 3 days since starting germination.So has anyone else ever had trouble with these 2 strains?

Sounds like its either the water or the paper towel, I used to use paper towels till i came across that issue. I called the paper towel company up and found out that company and others do use BLEACH to whiten the paper towels. Used shop towels, since then nomore probs. Where did they germ at? Did you apply any kind of heat? What was the PH of the water? Its not the strains, its on your end bud.

ya i have 3 akr's that just popped only 3 inches tall i always just plant them in the soil and water for a few days with a spray bottle

Just put them in a glass of water and leave a few days.
if using tap water,boil it and allow to cool
place somewhere warm,light not important.
I put mine in the bathroom cupboard.

I order same afgan lowryder. And also did paper towel method n but in a bag in a warm dark place. Cracked n like 17 hours. Planted it and it popped in 2 days. No trouble for me.

never understood the reasoning for the paper towel germination my method is put them a 1/4 inch deep or so in soil water with a spray bottle and wait

this method works so well even nature has adopted it

Ya know its funny, I usually use a disposable shop paper towel to germinate. But decided to go with straight to soil like you do and so far both my Xtremes sprouted and the NL is on its way. I wonder who and why ppl started using a paper towel and not straight to soil?

im sure its so you know it pops
only time mine dont pop is when i drop the planter and they get mixed in the soil but even those usually try growing up the side of the planter after a few waterings
