trouble dialing in strain dwc

Hey all,

I came here in hopes of getting some help on a grow that is driving me insane.

I am growing star pupil from mass medical, which is in day 3 of bloom

i am using cultured solutions nutrients, and maintaining a PH, letting it swing naturally as long as its within around 5.7-6.4, res temps are never above 68, never below 63, RH is 40-60% and day temps are 80s, nights high 60's and 70's - Also RO starting water

Ive been showing signs of N toxicity for a while, the issue is, that ive been responding by lowering ppms, and the signs show more and more, with any other strain i would be at least 400 ppm right now, even at 200 ppm, im still showing extreme clawing and some tip burn

I cant help but think that the 200 ppm is starting to create other deficiency's and im still showing signs of N toxicity.. that is.. Unless something else is going on?

Mass medical states the strain is a light feeder, and doesn't like a lot of water, which in dwc can be an issue :) However, ive continued increasing aeration and furthering the net cup distance, tbh this doesn't look much like over watering to me

Any help would be appreciated

3.7 n
3 k
Also contains Ca 3.5% , Boron .001 %, copper .0035%, manganese .017%, molybdaum.002%, zinc .007 %

Cs bloom b
.9 n
4.8 p
.75 magnesium
1 percent sulfur

Also cultures solutions cal mag which is 2-0-0

Only additive is UC Roots at 2ml/g
 
so 4.6-4.8-3 if you add them together? seems really low on K.

and then 2-0-0 with the cal/mg so 6.6-4.8-3. that wouldn't be a bloom ratio that i would be happy about.

have you used these nutes before?
 
Looks like that strain is quite sensitive to N concentrations. If you don't have the option of reducing that component in your final mix then reduce overall ppm until the plant tolerates it.

Yes forgot to add that along with that I am using the same companies early mid late bud booster , right now I am early bud booster which is 1-3.7-2.6 plus 1.1 of mg and 1.5 of sulfur

The recommended rate for week 1 bloom is
3.5 ml/g of bloom a 3.5 ml/g of bloom b 1.5 ml/g of calmag and .5 ml/g of bud booster I am on half dose on everything except bud booster and I’m down to 1ml/g on calmag , when I feed my ppm hits around 240, quickly drops to 180-200 within a day or so and then slowly drops from there

I’ve used these nutes on quite a few grows and never had the issue , I have these nutes in another area right now at full strength and plants taking them just fine

I would tend to agree with you , I was hoping someone would tel me it’s something else I can dial in , still have some hope . I have been modifying the ratios of my nutes to give a little less N but I always worry about throwing something else out of wack . Hopefully as they progresss they’ll learn to tolerate ! Thanks for the response

if it were me, i'd skip the cal/mg and the bud booster for a few days and see how she likes it. and a 12 hr flush with just RO before you start that.

Thanks man I will give that a shot , what do you think about keeping the water levels lower then normal and the oxygen levels up?

Also should I revert back to veg and dial her in ? Space is always a concern but I can always cull one plant
