I have been looking at a lot of pictures on this site and I keep seeing little plants with the end of the leafs cut off, does this help the plant in some way? Sorry for the million noobish questions but this will be my first grow attempt and I want to do it right!:joint:

They sound like rooted clones. Some cloning methods involve cutting the fan leaves to create less work for the rooting cutting.

trimming the leaves on clones actually is done to help the clone not transpire as much moisture which helps it from drying out until it has roots... you want to keep some fan leaves on your cutting, but if you dont cut them down like that they will transpire all the water out of them fairly fast since they dont have roots to pull any up.. its just a way to keep them from drying out as fast...
