Trimming Before Flowering???

I am just about to switch a couple plants into my flowering room and I am growing my first batch of AK-47. This plant has a good amount of large shade leaves on it. I was told I might want to trim these shade leaves a little in order for light to hit the buds for flowering. Anyone have any suggestions?

I got most of my big fan leaves in the first 2-3 weeks of flowering. basically just started at the bottom and worked my one up one node at a time every couple days. I only took the fan leaves off the main stalk.

.....and with every removal of the very unit that produces buds, you reduced your potential yield accordingly.

Good luck,

Ive always been told to never trim your fan leaves. If they look sick or dead give em a lil tug. If they let go good if they dont let it stay on the plant. If they get in the way of your buds tie em up.

any trimming you do should be done at least 1 week b4 flowering and it would be better to just tuckthe leaves out of the way

do not cut, just do what everyone says unless you are experamenting, if so say that so they wont give you shit, then post results later. we can all learn... once again... how this turns out.(im not leaning one way or the other, i see good reasoning behind both)
