Trimming all Lower Branches Off? Advice

i am growing some g13 now and they are rediculously wide and i cant stand having to tie every branch up...

can i just cut the bottom half of all the stems off and leaves? i dont want to hermie the plant from stress, but i dont want to deal with all the crap from the bottom limbs..

i see some people cut everything off but the main cola...id be interested in that anyone got any solid links? thanks!

any advice?
