I try to trim it wet before hanging but I have also run out of time and just hung it then trimmed it when all dry too. If you do that, make sure you have good fans and or dehumidifier on them to get under all the leaves to dry it. It takes longer to dry if you don't trim first. Hope that helped, lol. :weed::peace:

The trinmming is only so it dries faster? Reason I'm asking, is when I was looking at the plant there was a good concentration of crystals on the smaller leaves attached to the bud. Is that OK? It doesn't smoke harsh.

how closely you trim is kind of a personal preference thing. me personally im a taste guy, so im pretty anal about trimming. those frosty leaves your worried about trimming will make some good hash if you decide to trim them. i also have a friend who like to smoke the trim rolled so she smokes less ciggarettes. like i said, i think its a persoal preference thing.

you should always trim when fresh imo... and as for the trim and the popcorn itself .. keep it .. freeze it straight away (you dont need to dry it first) and get a set of bubblehash bugs and make yourself some top grade bubblehash from the stuff people throw away. i do a crop of 6-8 and always get around 7 -14 g in bubblehash from my trim

bonus imo !! hope that helps

ps try not to handle your buds massively when trimming then hanging... you ensure you get a better smoke from undamaged trichome production than if your handle it poorly and repeatedly before hanging.

I manicure prior to chopping that means removing the large fans leaves that are left. I am left behind leaves with resin glands and crystal on it. I try carefully not to handle it brutally not to disrupt the trichromes that would ultimately affect the thc content or other cannabinoids prior to hanging to dry.

I trim the fan leaves and any other leaves that have a visible stem before hanging it to dry. I leave the sugar leaves or inner leaves alone; once my buds are done hang drying I trim the longer inner and sugar leaves but leave the shorter smaller ones alone; then off to the paper bags they go.

I trimmed dry for the first time recently and I will be doing it that way from now on. It is easier IMO and you can get a more manicured look if thats what youre after.

i find it easier when its wet, and it will dry faster, and will be ready to smoke in half the time
It also wont taste quite the same until it sits in a jar for 1-2 months SOLID.
Whereas dry manicure it will taste great in 10-15 days in the jar.
I'm sure it's because the dry is slow + even...Personal Experience is the only way to learn!
