trim leaves to allow light to reach new growth?

I've got a bushy 1ft plant that is about a month and a half old. just pre-flowered 3 or four days ago. new growth is coming in and large fan leaves are keeping light from reaching the new growth. should i do some trimming or something?

i always trim leaves that get in the way of my new growth or covering budding sites buts thats just me. IMO more light to new growth or buds, more new growth and bigger buds!

Absolutely not true!!!

those leaves make the bud, try an experiment take one plant and remove fan leaves and one that you don't don't change anything else and then come back and tell me which one had bigger buds

go out and buy some cfl's to go around the entire plant. don't cut off fan leaves.

trim leaves to allow light to reach new growth?
