Trim at week 6 days into flower?

I have a question for you sog growers. I am currently growing sog with a 400w hps dwc setup. Since my space already has a full canopy, and the bottom part of the the plants arent getting much light, Should I trim the very bottom branches to get bigger buds from the top? Or would the stress it causes decrease the yield? I am already 6 days into switching the lights to 12/12

anybody ever done a sog before?

I havent done a sog, I'm currently looking into using scrog. But I would also like to know about the lollipopping, or just the trimming in general. I'm just starting flowering. -MMT-

Lollipopping is when you cut off all fan leaves and small branches 1/3 to 1/2 way up the plant. Then the plant can concentrate all it energy to the canopy and buds. Anything low under the canopy is wasted by not receiving good light. I ussally trim at start of flowering.
