Tricks of the trade; increasing THC content.

I've grown clones from the same mother indoors and outdoors simultaneously. Outdoors always seems frostier, and always frostier earlier on. Perhaps this is because of UVB from the sun? I don't know for sure. Outdoors always tastes and hits better, even hydro (yes I have seen an outdoor hydro grow).

I do believe it is because of the UVB you are correct. Unless there was something different you did to the outdoor feeding regiment. Also it prob isn't much of a difference but outdoors does get a bit more darkness then indoors since most ppl stick to the strict 12/12 schedule indoors. As most ppl say/believe in the dark period is when your plant produces the THC (trich's more importantly) to help defend against the UVB rays for the next day.

It seem by consensus that the strain plays the largest role. Thank you guys for your input and keep it coming. :)
I use t5 sun system and it has worked awsome it doesnt run hot and doesnt use so much energy and i mix my lighting with HD blue and red spectrum thats all I use for veggie to flowering:leaf:

Besides getting the correct strain, the very best trick for producing more trichs is to produce a very healthy flowering plant. Use ferts that are geared to growth during veg, and those that are meant for blossoms during 12/12 flower. Give it the best, brightest light you can muster (HPS 400w or better). Some say 48 hours of dark right before harvest helps. Since you're cutting the plants anyway, it probably can't hurt.

Forget all the shortcuts and stress methods that people who never grow throw around. If you have even a few years of solid growing experience you will know that there is no substitute for good plant health. Stress is never good for plants. Very experienced growers sometimes use stress to produce various traits, but in general treat your plants with the best care you can for the best results.

Also remember that trichs do not equal potency, but rather resin. I once grew Dr. Atomic Thai lights which had the most incredible trichs I've ever seen. It was the least potent weed I've ever grown - really shitty - but it looked incredible.
all I use is a T5 sun system with HD blue and red spectrums 24 hrs for veggie to 16hrs dark to 8hrs Light for flowering and its worked great and Ive been using this system for 3 yrs know and I get good smoke
