Are you trying to get mostly amber? That's at least 10% wouldn't you say? I still have yet to have my first harvest, but I was expecting them to look something like that when ready

Took the words right out of my mouth. The trichomes on the sugar leaves will naturally turn amber before the trichomes on the calyx. You'll see trichs on the leaves usually before calyx production.

thccrow: It is a usb microscope that I got off ebay. Actually it's a microscope/stand combo that looks like this.
Not perfect but it's fairly stable, has built in light and I can grab image using software instead of pushing button on Microscope.

That's a better one than mine. Mine is just some 14.99 webcam which can zoom x200 haha. It's called "supereyes" google it. =]

Yeah, mine was closer to $100. There's a cheaper one that looks identical but the resolution is only 640x480. Frustrating part is that the Microscope I have actually takes 1600x1200 shots but the forum limits it to 800 pixels max dimension. I've got another thread in the general forum discussing if it's worth sharing photos on external service so I can post larger pics.

you got a couple weeks on the lsd for sure.grew it last year outside waited till 5% to 10% amber and it was awesome.patience will pay off

If you want the best device for looking at trichs. It's called a "kindscope" ebay it. It's a small loupe that is made by a company that makes kindscopes, and kindstacks. Which are containers for storing bud and they stack. But check it out. I think on ebay you can get a kind stack and a scope for pretty cheap. Leme dig it up.
Seriously this is a good deal. The container is sick. And the scope works excellent.

Thanks kind. Yeah, they are still to clear for my taste.
This is actually my second round with the LSD. I tried to keep a mother of it but lost it when I pruned it back. Smoke was fantastic but the strain was too much work. I usually shoot for 10%-15%
I have one, or at least very similar. And two other loupes, a larger eyepiece and two small microscopes. For me, this is by far the easiest for me to use. I'm also getting close to 50 and my eyes aren't what they used to be. With this usb microscope, I've got a 1600*1200 image up on my screen and I can slowly dial in the focus while sitting in my chair instead of bent over my plant.
