Transplanting 5 1/2 foot plant from site due to construction!

OK so i need to know what i should use to put the plant in while i transplant it im thinking a plastic garbage can that is about 4 feet tall.. or i am thinking one of those bags people use to just plant in the ground with there plant but i am not sure where to find one of these and i think that the chances of me not hurting any of the roots are or pretty much zero so will it still survive a little bit of root damadge?

Yeah it can survive a little root damage, provided it's an otherwise healthy plant. Try to go to a tree nursery, tell them you want to move a small tree that means alot to your kid or something, and you need something to put it in.

A croaker sack is perfect for that, cause you have to dig wider around it , than deep. wet it good first so your soil stays together, and if you plant it in direct sun, cover it for a few days. I had to move a couple plants from 1 grow to another this year, and I almost lost them, and certainly stunted them for awhile, but it was real hot the day I did it , and I didn't shade it.
