Let them
Go another week or so.
Let the roots fill the container. Makes transplanting easier and less root ball crumbles

A one gallon pot is kind of pointless, especially when using a fabric pot. It's either going to be difficult to remove, or wasteful by cutting the pot off. You should keep it in the solo cup until it's ready to be transplanted directly into the 3 gallon pot.

I tried going from starter pot -> 1 gallon -> 3 gallon once. Quickly realized it was a waste with how fast and vigorous they grew. I also normally go from starter pot -> 3 gallon.

Respect for using pot elevators. They will save you a lot of headaches. The kind you have are pretty expensive, but they're super solid.

The cost me about $14 a piece
That's worth it to me. I struggled with fungus gnats for months until I bought some, and they were completely gone about a week later. They also make it hard to overwater. Plus you get extra root space. They'll be happy to hangout in their dark, humid basement.

I'm jealous. We had a hydro shop for about 10 months before it shut down. It was also tiny and 3/4 filled with BS nutrient lines. I haven't bought any in years, so they might have come down in price too. They had the market corned unless you wanted to go the steam rack route.
theres as many hydro shops here as timmies. lol
tim hortons for you 'mericans
im even a 45min drive from a predatory insect farm that raises every dang good bug you can think of. never thought id see the day thats for sure
