Transplant Rockwool to Soil (seedling)

Hello all so I currently germinated my seeds using Rockwool, unfortunately I dont know what strain it is because I stumbled upon these seeds in a quarter of weed I purchased. My questions are as followed .
1. When do I transfer these seedlings into soil. They have just sprouted 2 days ago. I need to know when its ideal to transfer them to soil.
2: how long can these seedlings last without any soil or nutrients? Just a small LED light is currently being used.
3: I had previous seeds thst werr from the same batch that i used but planted directly into soil, the plants never grew more than several inches. But they did flower.
4. This may be an auto flower strain. So should I just transplant directly to a big gallon pot ? Versus doing the whole transplanting to plastic cups.

They can go into soil any time and the sooner the better. If you're pretty sure they're autos then by all means use a big pot but you may end up chopping out a male or more. Lots of perlite for an airy mix and off you go. Better lights would help too.

Good luck!

Heres a step by step to successful germination
1. Get a seed or seeds
2. Get a coffee filter and a zip loc bag
3. Wet the coffee filter with properly ph'd water ph level between 5.5 -6.5
Place seeds on wet filter and once all your gonna do is on then place another wet coffee filter so its like makin a seed sandwich. Once thats done gently slide the seed sammy into the zip loc. Zip it so its just almost completely sealed but leave a lil crack open so it gets air.

Ok now place the bag in a warm dark place the top of a hot water heater works well. Just do t put it direct o. Top use like a book or magazine or somethin. If you follow these steps in about 3-4 days they will all be germinated with long root tails ready fo soil. Poke a hole in the soil so the root is covered completely just leave the top barely popin out. And bam works like a charm

Should I plant directly into soil with seedlings in Rockwool
Yep. You can just stick the cube in the dirt. I don't like them as they can stay too wet in soil but lots use them and they work. I put my beans right in dirt to sprout and skip the paper towel thing which is easy to screw up.

Hmmm... Not sure why you're giving OP germination advice when he already has a two inch tall plant, but...ummm, okay.

Thanks everyone , all the advice and suggestions have been greatly appreciated. So I went ahead and carefully transplanted.Things are looking good as of now .I will go ahead and keep you all updated in the coming days. Since I'm not sure if the seeds are auto or not. I went ahead and transplanted one into a large gallon pot and the other into a plastic cup within a cup for drainage . I will go ahead and transplant the one in the plastic cup soon.Any suggestions on what do do in the coming days/weeks are greatly appreciated

Hey guys so 11 days have passed now, my plants seem to have been growing but now it seems that they have slowed down a bit , and the leaves are slowly turning into a yellowish green. Ive been doing research and it sounds to me that this may perhaps be a nitrogen deffeiency probelm. Can some of you please help and exam the photos to see what it may perhaps be. And is is possible for me to cure this probelm. Please note that I have been only feeding them water no nutes what so ever and the soil im using is fox farm potting mix.

They need light.

That potting soil should have plenty of nutrients to start tiny plants so lack of strong enough light seems the most likely reason. No way it's some sort of deficiency yet.

Have you watered the whole pot so it's good and soaked? If not do that and wait until the pot feels very light before doing it again. Might take a week or more before it needs water again so don't rush it or you can end up with root rot when the lower portion of the soil never gets to dry out.

Sticking them in a sunny window is always a nice treat for plants too.
