I originally bought the wrong soil - MG with extended release Nutes...after realizing this was bad I went back out today to every possible store around.

The best I could find was also MG..but it is Organic Choice - no nutes - all natural.

I went to nursery and bought a big bag of perlite. I made a 60/40 mix and transplanted my baby.

I think the MG Organic with added perlite will be fine, right?

Don't know. What soil were you looking for? I'm a newbie it seems like you would have to add a bunch of nutes to it. I'm using the same MG that you have in your first picture and it seems to be doing good.

This MG soil says all organic....its like .10-.5-.5 npk ..... composted bark / peat moss / natural fertilizer.... says from poultry litter xD

i mixed it with a lot of perlite.... this mixture wont give my plant nute burn or anything right? I have a pesticide that got the OK yesterday so i'm going to use that to keep her pest free.

so yes or no to this soil?

I originally used that same miracle gro organic choice potting soil, did not have any trouble with pests or bugs. But I mixed in some compost, perlite and a couple of other compost ingredients.

The soil was alright, I had no problems growing in it. But I did switch to Ocean Forest potting soil once I found where to get it in my area. My babies grew twice as fast in Ocean Forest.

But if it's all you can find, like I said, you shouldn't have any problems, worked for me anyways.

I know that. It's being sold about an hour from me for 23$. I didn't feel like making the drive.

I thought this organic MG mix would be fine considering a mixed it up with a nice amount of perlite.

Am I risking nute burn?

Hey...I am using the same stuff you are...unless these people have used it, I wouldn't really worry about what they say. I haven't experienced any bugs of any sorts..

attached is a pic of a plant I am flowering now in MG....isn't the greatest pic as it is from a cam phone....but you get the point.

Def go with Fox Farm... I use FF Happy Frog and FF Ocean Forest mixed together, $10/bag of ea. My plants are super happy in it.

I wouldn't really worry about it.....use what you have....I have a plant in MG organic / perlite that is just fine....

I also had a bunch of plants, this round, that died in Ocean Forest...point is, if you pay attention to your plants you should be okay.

Getting Fox Farm is not that easy - thanks for giving me some confidence in my MG soil, lol.

I also bought Shultz Garden Safe Spray - supposedly safe up till day of harvest - is this ok to get rid of the pests I've been noticing?
