Transplant Issues - Plant drooping and not looking good

please help! I transplanted my plant from the ground to a 5 gallon bucket...I know it sounds like a really stupid move but the situation is i had a friend that i trusted and his plant died when he was in DH and the thought that I took his plant went through his mine because he was jealous...idk. Basically he knew where my plant was located and wanted to "check it out and make sure" but I'm not even taking the chance to get boned and getting in a fight, though that may be fucked anyway now. It started drooping about 5 minutes after i took it out of the ground and started working on the soil to support it. Sites said to keep it in the shade out of direct sunlight so i put it under a low shady tree and sprayed the leaves with mist so that the plant can hopefully drink up and get better. all the leaves just started hanging towards the stalk and i need advice...if there's anything i can do to keep it from getting screwed it's my only plant. tomorrow it's supposed to be about 88 degrees. Tonight it's going to drop to 64 and right now it's 82 out. I don't want this heat tomorrow stressing it out, what should i do?

Just for the record, other sites also said it would be about 24hrs to 72hrs before you will know for sure whether or not it survives. They also said that people have had plants before that can look like they're dead, but the next day look great so i just don't know what to think
