TRAIT: Bud strands?

Has anyone ever seen a bud grow in strands before?

I wish I had a pic to better describe. Basically the bud looks like it has fingers coming off, each finger is really its own bud about the width of the childs finger, there are many of these instead of the usual compact/short individual buds.

This is seen in a genetic pool heavily saturated with the Hindu Kush strain and other unknown genetics.

I've never seen this before so wondering if anyone else has?

Some older strains will grow in strands. Ill see if i can find something that looks like what i think youre talking about

Are you talking about foxtailing? I've heard it's pretty common in sativa heavy strains. Also can be a by-product of heat stress according to some.

Yes! thats what its called! i couldnt recall. thank you!

Buds will foxtail several inches sometimes up to 6 inches or more. They can be thin and appear to be "strands"

yes, foxtailing, and like has been said, it can be caused by heavy sativa genetics or a response to high temps. my grow last summer suffered from the high temps and had lots of foxtailing going on for sure..

interesting! Thanks for the info guys much appreciated. Since its only on one lady I'm assuming its genetic vs environment
