Training in my 3'x1.5'x5' tent

Howdy! I'm also growing in a pretty small tent (4x2x5). I think that from what I've read, just maximizing that canopy sq footage is the way to go. Likely a SCROG with 1-3 or 4 plants (depending on length of veg and size/bushiness of plants. Early topping during veg to ensure lots of bud sites and some LST tie down or supercropping to encourage branching and manage vertical growth. My biggest concern for my own tent is the 5 ft height being too short, but between picking appropriate genetics, training/SCROGing, and making sure your light is adequately powered & hung as high as it will go (ratchet hangers or just hanging directly to the top bars of the tent), you should be good & can grow some fire ass herb in there! Good luck!

What he said, except I would grow 2 plants max in that space. I don't like LST much either. Top twice and train for scrog or supercrop and tie down just before flipping to flower.

Thanks. I LST and supercrop but never top. I've been making a billion little bud sites like this and wondered if I was wasting my time.

If you can, please show me your plants after being topped twice and then finished.

Thanks.

Looks good. How long did you veg?
Usually veg about 45 days and LST from very early on all the way through chop. I don't grow individual plants per se but grow several trained together as one living organism. I don't need a screen because I tuck my branches under other branches of other plants to keep my canopy even. I grow hedges not single plants this way and while my buds are small, they are many.

Someone who knows these things said to strive for no more than 8 tops per plant or you'll be growing popcorn. I grow a lot of popcorn sized buds this way and why I' masking if there is a better way.

My experience with training has shown me that what I need to do is largely based on the strain I'm running. Squat plants may not want to stretch out enough to attempt multiple tops/colas so LST and trellis netting helps. Strains that develop longer node intervals definitely will yield better after making multiple colas from topping. Bottom line-you will get the most if you maximize the canopy under your light.

Basically, what I've been doing is similar to mainlining but I LST and never top.

LST creates multiple colas without slowing down growth from damaging the plant.

This sativa is about 30 days old, has 11 tops that will produce and is only 8" tall.

Topped twice and last and tie down. All that kinda shit. You are on the right track. The million bud go is worth it, lemme explain. Surface area and trichombs.
Keep it up, yours looks great. Many buds, the trims a bitch, the smoke is where it's at.
